I Don't Care if Lee Phillip Bell has to Sell Her House to Pay Off LML and Her Damn Contract

This is a post of frustration. It might not even be rational. What am I saying 'might'...But LML has done this to me, she has stripped me of my common sense and my rational sense of self.

I don't care of if Lee Phillip Bell has to sell her house to pay off LML and her damn contract. I just want the bitch gone from Y&R forever. I don't care how good her contract is or what the WGA thinks is fair. I don't care. I don't care how Paradigm worded the effing thing, I don't care what Barbara Bloom thinks of LML. I don't even care if the Bells love her. I don't give a damn, not one little bit.

Y&R under LML was horrendous. Some fans hated Kay Alden or Jack Smith...and to each their own. However, I defy anyone to demonstrate how anything Alden or Smith did even touches the agony LML brought to this show. She ruined the show in less than a year. In under 365 days LML undid 34 years of daytime magnificence. She undid 34 years of Bill Bell's life. She undid his legacy. Most importantly, she did something which no one associated with Y&R ever attempted before: she insulted the audience's intelligence.

I do not know LML. Nor do I care to. However, I have never loathed an executive in this business with more passion than I have with LML. Even that son of a bitch Brian Frons doesn't get my ire up like LML. Her shear disregard for the audience and her desire to satiate her own ego disgust me.

At this moment I hope that Bill Bell is looking down on all of this and making a miracle happen. He has undoubtedly spun in his grave these last few years. It is time for Bill Bell to have some peace. It is time for the bitch to be fired.

Forrester Mansion = Senior Bell Estate (FYI: Brad Bell lived in one of the guest houses kinda like Ridge did in early the 90s LOL); when Thorne shot Ridge in 1988 they even did a location shoot in the gardens.

Brooke's House -> modeled after Brad Bell's mansion. Not sure whether the exterior is really his house or not.

Wait. I'm not sure if you're saying that the Forrester mansion exteriors are Bell mansion or...

I think that Brad Bell and his wife were in one issue of a magazine about houses, mansions, smoething like that... I forgot. It begins with an a and the neame has two parts.

Maybe they also talk about the sets in B&B 20 year anniversary book which I've still not bought yet and could pinch myself right now. But it's just pricy and after the amount of money I spent, well, drank down my throat last Saturday I don't think I should afford it just yet - at least before I paid off all my debts to various colleagues. LOL!

As for the magazine: http://www.amazon.com/Architecture-Today/dp/B00006K45Q ??? If this is it; maybe one could send the publishing house a mail to inquire about the issue...

Totally OT now: Is WICKED really that good, Sylph? (*ready to order tickets* So much for me wanting to save money...) I remember Kevin Walker of "B&S" is a huge fan and has seen like a 100 times.

    • Not me, I am having withdrawals, I need that soapy drama lol
    • I faintly remember the tv movie where Ted Danson played the lead.. my late mom liked the movie and she also read a few of the novels and enjoyed them.

    • Paula and Jeanne’s first time writing Alex and Stephanie. It didn’t seem like there were any changes in Alex at all lol but I can’t help  but think that that’s more on RSW than the writing. I didn’t see a big change with Stephanie either, but I did enjoy her scenes with Kayla, whose character has gotten so much stronger since last week. I hope we get to see a lot more of their relationship, and their relationship with Steve as well. As for Steve and Shawn stealing the drug to try to save Bo, idk. I don’t dislike it, but I just don’t know lol but I also think that it is time for Steve to pass the torch on to the next hero.  And finally, Javi showed some kind of spark! I was a little worried in his first scene today that he was going to continue to be so obsessed with Leo, but him demanding that Leo drop the investigation into Rafe and Gabi could actually be pretty interesting. I don’t think that would’ve happened under Ron. And if we’re forced to endure Javi/Leo, let them at least have some kind of actual conflict, instead of the forced, biased crap that we were subjected to. And speaking of Leo, one year ago today, he got Dimitri’s letter

Btw, why is Gabi so beholden to Javi? Cousin or not, if I was her, the minute he said to her, “If he goes, I go”, I would’ve been like  Also, are they going to go there with Philip and Gabi? I’d prefer that than Gabi getting involved with Alex.
    • She does look good in blue. I wish they'd do more with her hair, change it up the way JMW does now and then
    • Hahaha - this is hilarious (and a ton of wigs at use!). The closing shot!!! LOL
    • Yes. I don't know if Lenore was ever asked. Then it became a nun. Thanks. I didn't realize it was in 1987. That timeline doesn't make a lot of sense even if she would have had Ed to interact with. If they didn't ask her back in 1989 and she was willing, what a stupid error. The attempts at these feuds, or even the whole families tied together stuff like Maryanne Carruthers, never had any real impact because of how depleted the Bauers felt even by the mid '80s. And instead of expanding them, which would have been common sense, various producers were just too lazy, or too ashamed, and kept bringing on other families, or bringing in too many people at one time and not knowing how to write for them (the Spauldings in the McTavish era - as SOD said at the time, everyone in the family had the same personality).
    • Wasn't there talk of them bringing back Rita as Gus' mother at one point? Or something?
    • I think they are a part of the same family, although Carla was never really scheming for the same reasons, and once her double life was exposed, she stopped.
    • Rachel/Ada, Mona/Erica, a mother/daughter at LOVING, these are all examples of the Agnes Nixon "troublesome daughter/put upon mother" trope. Are Carla/Sadie by any chance one of the pairs that make up this trope? Another thing that these 2 shows might have in common. OLTL had a very strong thematic approach to socioeconomic differences between groups of people. Class differences. AW at an earlier point had this too but to be clear it was not as much as OLTL. So that is a similarity but marginal.  Besides that, I see no other comparable things. Paul Rauch was a very different EP at different shows. Oh, I've thought of one more thing. Using actors from the Broadway stage.  But, realistically that was something all of the NY shows had in common. So I don't think it has any uniqueness between AW & OLTL.
