January 17, 200817 yr Member I am positive tomorrow. I have a feeling it will be a bad week for soaps. A lot of them had higher than usual positive numbers in demos and HH. I hope I am wrong and at least the soap ratings stay the same and dont drop.
January 17, 200817 yr Member So uh.......*looks around* When's the ratings going to be posted? Ryan it was my turn to ask this week! Damn you!
January 17, 200817 yr Member I will be surprised if GH drops. I see it holding steady (2.3-2.5) for the next few weeks then bouncing (2.5-2.7) during sweeps at least the first week or two. I predict: 1. Y/R; 2. B/B; 3. Days; 4. ATWT; 5. GH
January 17, 200817 yr Member I can actually see Days take over the top 3 spot or even tie with ATWT for #3
January 17, 200817 yr Member I think Days might go down. I think the bloated ratings from the past few weeks were the result of kids being home from school for the holidays. Wouldn't be shocked to see it drop. I wonder how the hype affecting the 3 big returns to AMC will impact its ratings.
January 17, 200817 yr Member I don't know about AMC- people want to see Angie and Jessie, but are already about this stupid "Real greenlee is back" promo crap.

January 17, 200817 yr Member [!@#$%^&*], that's a big drop-off for DAYS. And GH looks like it held up well.
January 17, 200817 yr Member A number of factors can be blamed for Days low ratings, at the moment -- the biggest factor being that Days doesn't have a 'sister' soap with fans that the show can promote itself to. No longer are fans of AW, Passions or SuBe watching NBC during the daytime to catch a Days promo, and so the NBC soap audience of AW/SuBe/Passions fans are no longer there to be wooed over. In all honesty, though, the bottom line is that Ken Corday allowed the show to spiral into a pit of neverending sh!t from 1998 - 2006. Over that eight year span of suckiness, the ratings have just eroded to a point where they'll never recover. Ultimately, it's that idiotic sh!tface who's to blame when Days gets the axe.
January 17, 200817 yr Member Damn. This one hurts, but I'll hold off until next week. This week here has been just as strong, if not stronger, than last week, and if the ratings stay the same or go down.... It may spell the end for NBC's longest running soap.
