Thank God and Thanks America for the win of Barack Obama and Joe Biden. It's an awesome feeling to no they won, and won by a landslide in electoral votes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to seen Senators Elizabeth Dole and John Sununu get voted out big time! Jesse Helms former seat will now be held by a Democrat Woman, Kay Hagan! AWESOME.

I just wish Kentuckians were smarter and would've voted out Mitch McConnell. Good job Bruce Lunsford but I still think he could've done more to win.

Oh my, I just got back from marching in the streets on Dekalb, Illinois. It was crazy! This is something I thought I would never see unless the Cubs won the world series. It was just awesome. I am so proud to be part of this historical moment that I can't even express all my thoughts!

It really upsets me that Barack has been speaking about tolerance and unity, yet all these gay marriage/gay adoption bans are passing. What the hell?

The one in Arkansas is really bad. The wording makes it so that you have to be a married couple to adobt. So no single parent adoptions, no unwed straight couple adoptions, and of course no gay adoptions.

Something I found interesting and I don't know if it's been mentioned. Obama actually didn't do that much better than Kerry in some states, especially southern states, despite the large black populations in that region.

Thanks because you know how many times that Bradley Effect got pushed so I guess it's the Obama Effect now.

This shows that the majority of American's don't believe ridiculous attack and fear mongering politics.

I haven't seen enough data on this. I see that he turned Ohio, Florida and Virginia which were red last time but I will see what the percentages are tomorrow in terms of the all the red states.

The thing about him is that I feel like he cares about EVERYONE, while Bush only cared about the rich.

Yeppers, just like our former Prime Minister Little Johnny his agenda was to do what ever Bush wanted and make the rich richer and the poor poorer.

Unfortunately Minnesotans re-elected Michelle Bachman....why I don;t know but I guess they're okay with a nut like her in Congress.

While I'm thrilled about Obama being elected, this Proposition 8 thing is really raining on my parade, damn it!

Just knowing that Prop 8 even exists is upsetting. I mean, don't get me wrong... I'm not pro-gay marriage -- simply because I don't understand why any gay couple would want to enter into a religious union under a religion which calls their very existence an "abomination," but at the end of the day, we should all have the same rights. Every. Single. Person. Gay. Straight. Black. White. Man. Woman. It should be the same across the board. Why should we be stripped of rights just because the majority of a state decides that they're to homophobic to grant equal rights? What if the majority suddenly decided tomorrow that they wanted to change their mind about allowing black people to vote? Would that pass too... just because? What if the majority decided to suddenly nullify all votes from black Americans because they simply saw fit to do that? Would that be allowed to happen too... just because?

You can't go around granting rights to people and moving the country forward, then allowing it to take ten steps back by saying, "Oh... just kidding! You don't really have those rights after all. Silly us!"

I just can't help but shake my head at this entire thing. It's so disgusting. Tonight is a perfect example of how the country has come so far, yet in other ways, it still has so far to go. Let's hope for the sake of all Americans that we never stop progressing.
