Anyone that would vote for McCain just because one or the other isn't chosen is stupid and should be slapped. Plain and simple. <_<

RyRy... I can understand that but disagree, sort of.. Not voting for one or the other just because the one gets the nom and the other doesnt is stupid, however not voting for someone you do not like, trust, or want as the pres? What is stupid in that?

I just dont like being called stupid that is all. <_<

none of us do, yet so many chose to do such a thing.

You have no right calling anyone stupid just because of their vote...a lot of those who won't vote for the other are doing it because they don't share that person's views or are turned off by them.

i agree

The folks of WV didn't vote for Hillary because they think she's great they voted for her because she's white.

Hillary winning WV means NOTHING!

right, because people only vote for her because shes white.

Who are you to say if he offended the black community or not?

Wow! That's amazing.

I am flabbergasted.

he has as much right to say he didnt as you do to say he did.

Lol, post numbers lost all credibility when Errol screwed up our post counts. I lost almost 15, 000 posts. You technically still have a lot of catching up to do.

i want my old post count added :P

The Clintons treated Gays like totally TRASH and broke every promise they ever made and most are still backing Hillary over Obama.

Mostly because he didn't stop that anti-gay preacher from appearing at his event.

exactly.

I think my post count was the only one that was not fucked up over that slow down.

hi me again, dont want to start any hostile comments but im glad she won WV and by a large amount as well....i wonder if cnn announced her the winner right at 730 when the polls closed like they did with obama last week?? i was at work so im sure cnn just played it out until all 100% was counted lol so he could show us the map a million times to just make sure obama was winning certain areas lol...

Look I appreciate that the black community stood by Clinton in The White House...but he did not offend the community when he was president. He did and the community has every right to be offended...and doesn't he deserve a second chance? I mean he did a lot for the community...do something for him and let him have another chance. But of course he has to show he means what he says ;)

I haven't finished going though all of these posts and there are some others to which I would like to respond but I'm going to take time to respond to this one first. I am not at all interested in raining and I'm not interested in coming down on you or anyone else for whatever they think because I wish we all had the ability to respect the opinions of others without it being a source of provocation. Unfortunately it's very hard to do because we are humans and we have emotions and are apparently quite passionate about the political scene.

I don't subscribe to the term "black community" because I think it implies that black people are of one mind and that is not at all true. Economics is the main driving force so black people living under different conditions don't share the same experiences and outlook on life. That's true of humans period.

I mean he did a lot for the community...do something for him and let him have another chance

I think this is a very offensive/insulting statement because you're implying that black people owe Bill Clinton something and I want to know why? I want to know what it is he did because I have yet to to find out specifically what he did that places black people in his debt.

It is my understanding that Nikki Giovanni (the poet labeling the first black president) did so because she felt he was being persecuted like a black man over the Monica Lewinsky scandal and that his upbringing was one to which some black people could relate. He played the saxophone on Arsenio Hall. He has an office in Harlem. He appointed some black people to cabinet positions and other positions while in office. Affirmative Action basically went away under him. And for people like Pat Buchanan who feel the welfare system is all about supporting black people, there was welfare reform.

How do any of those things help all black people? By that standard, George Bush is good to black people as well since he appointed two of them to Secretary of State which is considered the second most powerful position internationally behind the president.

Unless I am greatly mistaken, black voters helped Bill Clinton claim the presidency twice but now you think they owe him a second chance because he's done so much for them.

I really hope there comes a day in your life when you realize how awful this sounds to people who see all people as humans.

Wow.

Really? I didn't know this stuff went down. Is that why the gay community has such a problem with her?

Bill promised gays that he would allow them into the Milltary and instead came up with DADT and of course DOMA.

What's shoking that many gays are chosing Hilary over Obama because of the whole anti-gay Preacher deal.

I am not talking about being more argumentative but about the fact that, whenever someone here wants to celebrate a Hillary victory, others have to swoop on in and muck it up by raining on parades. It is not fair for those of us who want to enjoy the moment...it has nothing to do with arguments.

I have not been in the Ron C thread so I cannot comment.

Nobody has won or lost anything in this primary. That happens when one gets to 2,025 or 2,229 (not sure if that is the number) if MI and FL are seated, which I don't think will happen but that is me.

If she cannot win The White House, explain the pollls out right now that have her ahead of McCain by nine percent while Obama is only ahead two percent (I hope that number of his goes up)

I haven't seen Hillary downgrade or degrade anything about Obama in the past couple of days...if you are referring to the white working class comment, I would hope that most people see past this cry of "racism" because it was not racist. It is like me saying I attract hardworking white women. Am I a racist? Nope. And that comment is not suggesting that I am superior to anyone of another race just because I attract hardworking white women. The thing is I attracted one enough to marriage so the rest have to sit on the sidelines ;)...but anyways, I see more SDs coming for her with the big victory in West Virginia. After all, any Democrat who has won The White House in the 20th Century has needed West Virginina, except for Woodrow Wilson in 1912. Since Hillary won the key state of WV, that could be persuasive with SDs. There are also about 20 or so SDs of California remaining. I think the remaining ones should go for Hillary since she rightfully won my state.

I think Obama will have himself to blame if he loses in November and does not pick Hillary as VP because he sees the numbers of how many supporters of her will go to McCain...he needs to reach out to them and the best way is selecting her as a running mate. I agree with you that the Hillarack ticket is a dream come true and should be actuality. I think Hillary is willing to accept second place, as in recent comments that suggest she wants to concede (not sure if that is her intent)...so she is content with being the runner up and being that runner up after a good talk with Obama about what she can bring to a ticket as VP, which is a lot.

Agree about health care...the best we can hope for is a mandated system that keeps insurance in business so that they don't donate millions to defeat a single payer system plan. That is how I would want it but I know it won't happen so long as they have their millions so the next best option is mandated health care where the government can help reduce prices.

And people spend time tilting at windmills. Nobody has jumped on you any harder than you jump other people and defend Hillary.

Now Hillary is toast. You can continue to pretend otherwise, but people are going to tell you she is toast. As far as celebration, why would you think that a board that isn't attached to Hillary Clinton or to Barack Obama is the place to go to a victory party. Also HIllary is NOT going to get the nomination. She has lost. She can continue to fly around the country and spend her money. Barack Obama is ignoring her and I think that is the best approach. Right now, Hillary Clinton is irrelevant.

I'm glad you're glad (and no, I'm not being sarcastic).

CNN announced she was the winner with 0% showing as soon as the polls closed. There was no mystery that she was the winner and I guess you still don't accept the fact that they didn't project her the winner in IN until late is because they results were delayed and that was the case on other stations as well.

VW was all about voting agianst the Black man!

I can't find the post in which you said HC won because she's white but I think it's unfair to imply that all the West Virginians that voted for her are racist. Not liking Obama or not liking his platform is not synonymous with racism.

According to stated results of the exit poll, race did play a factor with 20% of the voters which was said to be double that of other exit poll results and shows that race was significantly more important in WV. I do believe that HC used that to her advantage but don't forget she's on a mission and fallout is secondary to winning.

Thanks Jess!!!!

I don't want to quote your post but I appreciated it.

I don't agree with you on the joint ticket thing because I think the negatives outweigh any potential positives which we can go over any time you like.

That doesnt matter to get her elected if she were to run against McCain.

Those votes do matter if those voters don't turn out in large enough numbers for her against McCain.

Since Obama will be the nominee he needs those Bluee collar workers..which he is NOT getting. If he doesnt get those he will NOT win for President. Hillary GETS those voters.

Nobody knows whether he will get more of those votes once she's not an option. Democrats have two options and for those who didn't like either yesterday, they voted for John Edwards who is not even in the running but captured 7%. If John Edwards were a viable option, he might have won the primary yesterday so it's not as if HC is the only one who can get that demo. Plus for those 20% in WV and the 10% elsewhere who said race was a factor, pairing up with her won't make a difference since he's still going to be black.

He doesn't need her on a ticket with him should he be the nominee. She's not the only one capable of capturing that demo and he'd be better off with someone who not only reaches out to that demo but to other demos as well.

The ticket is not going to happen I don't think. I don't think he trusts her and really, why should he? Obama won the primary, he gets to be the nominee. It's certainly not going to be a Hillary/Obama ticket because Hillary isn't going to be the nominee. All these ridiculous arguments that she should be the nominee because she carried West Virginia, are ridiculous. Hillary not only has doomed her chances in this campaign, she doing a real good job making a mess of any chance she will have in the future.

I don't like being called stupid either. I do think that anyone who supports McCain or doesn't vote democratic because Hillary lost is making the case of why Hillary will doomed in the future. For some time, I have thought that she would rather the party go down in flames than for Obama to get elected. If Obama is elected, she is out of the picture. He loses, well maybe she can run in four years. Her ambition is far greater than her desire to do good things.

I think people want a joint ticket because some may feel it is owed to her. I feel he owes her nothing. Ater some of the stuff she did during this campaign, why should anyone sit back and think that she will NOW do what's good for the party? If that were the case she would bow out gracefuly.

You know if Obama were in her place, he would have been pushed out HARD a month and a half ago. And how many times have I heard about SDs breaking for Hillary?

Well........I'm still waiting.

But, once again, some don't want to listen to that. They say they care about the party, but don't see how the person who did what they were supposed to do in the primaries should now take a secondary role. If Hillary acts like it's avove her to be VP.......why then should Obama take it? Just to please her?

Or because there are some who feel that it is all he's good for?
