July 4, 200817 yr Member The problem is which 7 (if it's Y&R). So although a decision in a good direction, it just won't be enough. If it's for Y&R, I have a feeling this is just the beginning of reconstructing that writing team. I'm sure they'll be more hirings and firings before the fall is here. Not to mention, they need to fire Josh Griffith as EP like yesterday. Just as long as Bloom doesn't hire his successor.

It will also be interesting to see which writers she didn't like (or Hogan, who possibly influenced her to fire some). Not to mention, they need to fire Josh Griffith as EP like yesterday. Just as long as Bloom doesn't hire his successor. If Julie comes, I know who will stop watching.
July 4, 200817 yr Member Yeah. Everyone. Well, Julie's already been EP of one show that was at the bottom of the ratings and ultimately canceled, and under her tenure, AMC has gone to the bottom of the ratings. I guess it's about time she brought her special poison to some other show.
July 4, 200817 yr Member Assuming all seven are on one show, it kinda would have to be Y&R. If not, that would be another sad blow. Will they replace them with Friends of Hogan or old Bell people like Janice Ferri Esser who has been trying to get back to Y&R? Or more people who we've never heard of like Jay Gibson and Marc Parent? I agree that it'll be interesting to see which seven are let go.
July 4, 200817 yr Member Y&R's staff condition (and recent adds to such staff) command one big, huge: WTF?
July 4, 200817 yr Member QUOTE (Chris B @ Jul 4 2008, 10:55 AM) Will they replace them with Friends of Hogan or old Bell people like Janice Ferri Esser who has been trying to get back to Y&R? The problem is - if you fired 7, then hired another 7 (no matter if it's old Bell people or Hogan's crowd), you did nothing, did you? If there are 22 now, minus 7 it will be 15. And that's a lot. Less than 22, but a lot.

July 4, 200817 yr Member Teaser for the next update: 7 OUT Hopefully, Rain1 will let me spill these. So....any gueses? How long will we have to wait until we find out about these? If it's the beginning of August, then I'd rather have Rain1 spill it now... I just can't wait.

July 4, 200817 yr Member The 7 surely have to come from Y&R. I mean anymore writers (and there surely WILL be) and all we'll need is a teacher and a blackboard! Blimey. And with a few people here in-the-know, it'll be hard to keep a lid on this so long. Besides, for the teases to be released now, I'm thinking a couple of days, a week at MOST. Don't worry folks, by this time next week, we'll be chewing the fat over it.
