HAHAHA!

Good riddance.

But what a shocker that a classic soap opera tale of a hermaphrodite seducing his father only to get pregnant with his inbred demon spawn couldn't guarantee the show longevity.

It was a sure bet.

Or, for that matter, the near-mythic saga of a man torn between his Fancy and his Pretty.

Don't celebrate too soon (like many people did last January). Even if DirecTV cancels the show, it's just the two minute warning and there's still time on the clock for one last drive by NBC.

Seriously though, whose gonna pick up a show that's been canceled by TWO networks, in less than a year? A million viewers might be considered a success for Direct TV's 101, but not elsewhere, especially not network television again or a mainstream cable channel like SoapNet.

Passions has broken so many soap rules. How awesome would it be to see it break another and be canceled twice and STILL be on TV? It reminds me of this summer's Big Brother. I started loving Jen when she was nominated 3 times in a row and survived each time.

I think the situation is a sad one. If 'Passions' has been cancelled by DirecTV then the cast was used and abused to get subscribers, nothing more nothing less. It is never good to see a soap die because it chips away at the genre as a whole.

I think there are some great actors on the show, Tracey Ross, Kim Johnston Ulrich, Ben Masters, Juliet Mills, Andrea Evans etc...but I could just never get over how terrible the show often was, especially when compared to its predecessor, 'Another World'.

I know this is a long shot, but since NBC still owns the show, they could possibly drop Today Show 4 and bring "Passions" back. Unfortunately, that would probably be a snowballs chance in hell of ever happening.

Didnt NBC Universal recently purchase the Oxygen network? Passions might show up there.

Just end the farce!! Cancel the d*mn show! And bring something better on the air!

Passions going to CW or MyNetwork TV could work. Especially considering that their original programming during the day may not draw even close to half of the PSNS audience. The question would be whether or not the affiliates would be willing to give up that time slot.

NBC would be better off coming up with a new soap or piece together the remaining cast of "Another World" and do a spinoff, lol. Though the latter is very slim chance in hell.
