Oh God Craig is gonna go completely nuts when he finds out that this baby isn't his...

I'm actually afraid for him and Meg.

I'm shocked to find that I actually feel bad for Katie. Jack basically doesn't deserve Carly or Katie. I do believe he loves Katie but hes gonna have to work for it cuz right now I'm liking Brad more and more each day.

Noah and Luke are on tomorrow...they're so cute together. Love how Noah was trying to break the news about Lily gently to Luke.

This "adoption" storyline is probably the stupidest thing I've ever seen in all my years (granted probably not as long as some of you) of watching ATWT. Its just so retarded on so many levels and involving characters that should have nothing to do with this storyline. I mean what exactly do the writers have against Gwen? I mean really all this torturing of the character about a baby is getting beyond stupid. No one I know in my age group is THAT obsessed about having a baby.

I sincerely hope this is the last day this year we'll have to sit through a hastily conceived, badly executed crisis for Carly. I love Maura, but I think she's reached her cartoon villian quota for the year.

The mall is steps away from Al's now? GMAB.

Katie needs to STFU. Yeah, blah blah, she "loves" Jack, and she wanted a family with him. What happened to the thought they "would be" a family for HIS kids? Boo-FRICKIN'-hoo...how frickin' immature is it to resent some "family orbit" Jack already has with Carly? Her reluctance isn't about "feeling left out", it's about the fact she KNOWS Jack has not gotten past Carly. I wish these writers would stop making everything about the kids, and let the characters own up to what THEY feel.

Paul/Meg/Craig....spin, spin, spin. How stupid does Craig sound, calling Ro's coma "stress-induced"??? (horrid flashbacks of Skankerbee telling Carly Jack's amnesia was all because of their traumatic relationship...) And did I miss the day Paul said he wanted that baby to be his? The last I heard, Paul was telling her not to call him when she got confirmation she wasn't. And that wasn't that long ago...it was right after the non-wedding.

I love Maura. Truly and sincerely I do. But even she can't make a screaming, hollering mess of scenes look less silly. How many people were muttering to themselves for Carly to shut up and not confuse those simpleton robbers?

Meg knew Emma says that to all her children. :)

So do the residents of Oakdale have super powers? They sure arrived fast to their destination. The constant our kids are in danger has run its course. It's time to stop! It's time for Jack to stop being a jackass. It's time for Katie to continue being a tramp. And jump Brad's bones. And for Carly to be Carly and be with Jack. Today's show was just eh. Nothing really stood out today. And yes...Al's diner is located at the mall???

This was a downer after yesterday's vet heavy episode. The one thing I took from this episode is the fabulous relationship between Kit and Carly. Those two are FIERCE and I finally have a reason to watch Carly's scenes again. Jack makes my blood boil at this point, so I never want him and Carly back together. Whenever it happens he needs to beg and plead with her, only to be turned down. Hope Katie leaves his sorry ass as well.

I totally agree with you about Jack. Jack needs to be tared and feathered by Emma and Kim. Emma with her grow up speech and Kim with her kiddo speech. Jack has become one sorry puppy. The way he is trying to beg and plead to Katie is beyond pathetic. Jack is a wimp just like his cousin Meg.

It's so silly the way the cast is mishandled from day to day. Carly and Meg's stories hog all the airtime, but everyone else's is rationed out to 1 or 2 days a week. Why the hell would P&G want to pay for people they aren't even using? They bitch about budget all the time, but keep unused actors on a contract! And the show suffers, because you can't start watching today and learn who's who. Maybe if Holden spoke to Margo, Kim spoke to Paul, etc.

I agree stenbeck! It's not like they aren't paying these people either. Eileen Fulton is on CONTRACT! She has appeared maybe five times this year, which means they have been paying her to do NOTHING. I could understand saving up her days for a big story, but that will never happen. Just wasted money. The woman works her ass off with her touring, so she can handle the daytime grind. Plus she keeps asking for a story!

Seeing the vets yesterday added so much to the show. This is also the main thing keeping people glued to OLTL right now. I get so sick of knowing that if Carly is on, she'll only be involved with Jack, Katie and Brad. This is why I'm so excited about the prospect of a new story with Kit.

Passanante/Goutman - Get these characters off their islands and give me that small town feel!

I don't know...I think Emma's not happy about how Jack has handled this. Before his almost wedding to Carly, she seemed to be pushing him to admit he wanted to marry Carly for HIS sake, not the kids'. Then today when she questioned why Parker wasn't talking to Carly. I hope she says something to Jack, he needs a GOOD talking to.

I'm sure the vets contracts are next to nothing in appearances. There's no way they're paying them for not working.

    • Kate Mansi on Kristina going too far No spoilers - but only if you've watched through May 14. If you want to be unspoiled, wait until after you've watched May 14. https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/ghs-kate-mansi-says-kristina-knows-that-shes-gone-too-far-exclusive/
    • Well, Mo should have tried harder lol GH has had the narrative for years that Sonny is "good" mob and everyone else is "bad" mob.  It's never made any sense no matter how many characters tell us that.  How about no mob?  That's the best kind of mob
    • She absolutely needs to be on this show.
    • they need to bring her back for a role! I say expand Bill's family and have her play his meddling aunt that moves into his house with he and Hayley and goes head to head with Anita
    • I'll be brief with this response because it is veering into Classic thread territory, but I agree about the Taggert writing especially when the show revealed he worked with/was mentored by Deke and knew Sonny killed him.  It gave Taggert a bias that was unnecessary and made it seem like he was a poor judge of character, so the audience was already primed to dislike him even if Taggert was right. Plus, Garcia and Taggert were pretty obnoxious, especially early on lol.
    • THE ROAD OF LIFE from 12-13-1984 to 7-1-1955. But this soap had been on radio & very popular from as far back as 1937. Then in 1954 P&G suggested to Irna Phillips that she develop this project for television & P&G would sponsor it. It may have been the beginnings of the sponsor-owned soaps.
    • SOD Where Are They Now? She left daytime more than 25 years ago, but GUIDING LIGHT fans have not forgotten Lynne Adams (ex-Leslie, GUIDING LIGHT, 1963-71; 1973-76; ex-Amy, SECRET STORM, 1971-72). She's one of Digest's most frequently requested "what ever happened to...." GL alums — a pleasant surprise to the actress. "I'm really flattered," she smiles, then admits that fans still occasionally recognize Leslie Jackson Bauer Norris Bauer. "It's amazing because I haven't done it for so many years." By Melissa Scardaville   The years that she did spend there were good ones. "My main memory is of all the women I knew on the show, like Charita [Bauer, ex-Bert], and Fran Myers [ex-Peggy] used to be a great friend of mine." Adams's main storyline — the tortured triangle of Mike/Leslie/Ed — was also a bright spot. "I really enjoyed doing it, until the character got married [to Mike] and she was happy." That, in turn, was the impetus for Adams to leave. "The character got boring, frankly," she shares. "It was very conservative and boring and happy. Not that happy is bad; happy is great, but it's not that great on a soap opera. You want to have some conflict and drama, and her biggest drama was that she was worried that her stepdaughter was going to get involved with some guy. It just wasn't interesting, so I left."   GL has ties to Adams's current project, Made-Up, a comedy about our culture of beauty that she wrote, starred in (with her sister, Brooke Adams, as well as brother-in-law Tony Shalhoub and Eva Amurri) and produced with Sister Films, a company she founded with Brooke. "The whole time I was on GUIDING LIGHT, I used to dye my hair because I went white when I was about 16," she shares. "After I had been off the soap for a while, I let my hair go, and it was shocking the difference in the way people treated me. You feel like you've disappeared and you're not a viable person somehow. Then, I would go to an audition wearing a wig, and suddenly it was a whole different story again."   That experience led her to write a one-woman show, Two-Faced, which she performed for nine years. Adams then embarked upon the arduous task of taking a version of the play to the screen — "One time, we had the $5 million in the bank and Kevin Kline couldn't do it and all the money fell apart." But, thanks to her husband, George Fifield, a media arts curator, she eventually got it shot on video as a mockumentary. "It's a movie that people who used to know me would love to see," she notes. To check if the film is coming to your area, log onto www.madeupthemovie.com. Adams also points out, "If you click 'Contact,' that [e-mail] comes to me, and I'll answer it."   Sure, her plate is full now, but would Adams ever return to soaps? "If you had asked me two years ago, I would have said yes. If you had asked me 10 years ago, I would have said no. Right now, I live in Boston, so that would make it kind of impossible," she chuckles. "But I loved doing soaps. It was a hard job, but it was really fun. I used to have some relationships with some of the people who watched the show who would write to me. I miss all that."
    • Thank you for this!  My guess is that they had actresses audition as backup in case Tunie said no. Debbi Morgan mentioned she was asked but turned them down and I imagine it was likely for Anita as well. I love that they sent her a letter acknowledging her advocacy.  I hope that down the line they consider her for another role. We need two Articulettes!
    • Very interesting - thanks, @P.J. and @DeeVee!  This makes me want to go back in time and start my watch at '89. I think I'm going to power through just a little more of '96 right now just to see A-M/Lucy marry (so I can see their happy ending), how Phillip enters the picture, more of Alex vs. Amanda (because that's so funny/amusing to me), and what happens to Blake's twin babies (the only things really keeping me going right now).
