Members Vee
I think AMC has acquiesced to Frons' vision very nicely; the only problem is, its ratings are absolute [!@#$%^&*] and that puts Frons in jeopardy too. OLTL is actually the least in line with his priorities right now.
Members TC
It does seem like OLTL is the "experimental soap" on ABC right now. For me it works so I hope and pray for a ratings spike to prove it to the suits. Well, I don't really pray.
Members Chris B
This probably deserves it's own thread, but I refuse to admit it's anything more than a sick rumor...I read on another board that somewhere on Soap Town USA it says Megan McTavish will replace LML. Please tell me they are the most unreliable soap site on the net! I know I've said a soap will probably pick her up, but nobody at Y&R could be that crazy. I could see her showing up at AMC again or ATWT, but not Y&R.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
^That's not true, Chris B, since the writer's strike is going on. Because of the strike, the networks/studios can't hire any new writer's until the strike is officially over. With all the fuss about Latham possibly being fired, rumors like this are bound to happen. Members whyamcwhy
Maybe we are seeing Carruthers vision of AMC not Frons. I really think that she needs to go along with B&E. If she stays and they bring on new writers, I will be very surprised if AMC improves.
Members Chris B
Carruthers is obviously a major problem at AMC, but I'd place some of the blame on Frons as well. Both probably have problems with control, which is why they went for writers like McTavish and B&E who can be controlled. Unfortunately, I can't see them replacing her. She's been there for a few years and Frons seems to enjoy her work. I'd settle for just a writing change, if that's all we can get. It's a shame soaps didn't seek out Ed Scott when he was fired from Y&R. I think he had a better chance of reviving a soap like GH or AMC. I don't think DAYS has enough network support for his revamp to work there.

I don't think DAYS has enough network support for his revamp to work there. I love Scott at Days. He has imporved the show a thousand fold, and though it may be cancelled in the next year or two, atleast it will go out entering into a new golden age. I haven't been able to say this since 1992, but Days improving week by week. The quality of the show, and the depth of the dialouge is evident. I think if he had come sooner, Days would atleast have the ratings to attract another network if NBC drops it. Now, it's really late in the game. Scott is very hands on, and he has alot of gumption and talent. I agree he may have been more useful on a show that isn't on the brink of cancellation, but I sure am glad that, for once, Days attained a legendary figure to head things backstage. And.....remember, even though it looks ominous, the show hasn't been cancelled yet. His hard work may pay off, who knows.

Members Y&RWorldTurner
^That's most of the Y&R writing staff, so Michael Montgomery and of course Josh Griffith are the only ones from Y&R who haven't signed. Everyone from ATWT has signed. And Michael Conforti is off the GH list.

Members Vee
Man, if this doesn't end before Higley ends up scab-HWing Days or something I will have to see the results. Especially after how she gutted my show. Nevermind, I think I misread.

Members Adam
McTavish at Y&R.... I called it months ago when I said Latham would bring her aboard because they are sooooo similar. Lets all hope and pray that is just one of many false rumors that site has spread over the years.
Members dragonflies
Very unreliable, I know of stuff they printed as FACT on their main page and it turned out to be false and they never printed retractions
Members DaytimeFan
The McTavish rumor on SoaptownUSA is just that: a rumor. The columnist for the Y&R column stated it in passing. Sony and CBS just can't be THAT stupid, I just cannot stomach the idea of anyone being dumb enough to hire someone like McTavish after she drove AMC's once respectable ratings into the toilet. That being said, at this point I'd take anyone over LML and her husband and assorted pals.
