Latham tried to make Y&R more "real"? HUH? Um ok, more reason why she should be fired, Y&R is currently the biggest farce in all of daytime....

With Mola Moof's name on the list, I wonder if she's still ghostwriting for a soap?

How many long-lost-siblings, evil-twins, slept-with-their-husband's-brother story lines have you written? None. When Lynn Latham took over, her goal was to make the show as real as possible. She is a primetime writer, so "Y&R" is arguably the most "unsoapy" soap on the air currently. Oh wait, we did have someone get plastic surgery to look exactly like another woman so she could steal her baby… never mind.

Total bullshit! In one year there have been like three look-a-like stories, two identical murder mysteries, endless deaths in general, Amber carrying that body around for a month, Clear Springs, etc.

Y&R is the most ridiculous soap on air. By real she must mean bad hair/makeup, no romance and pure boredom.

Well Lynsey Dufour is now on my sh*t list. Y&R realistic? Yeah right, the show has become a joke. Lynsey, honey, find a new mentor, LML is not a person to emulate.

Isn't it the HW's job to edit scripts? What's the point of even being a HW if you're not supervising the work of those you employ?

She secretly writes them all, and then serves coffee.

I know people like to joke about her, but there must be some merit to her being on alist of striking soap writers. We already know she'd previously wrote, so I don't think it's ridiculous to think she could still be writing for one, or looking for a job in soaps.

How busy looking can she be when she's here everyday?

Like I've said before, it's ridiculous to think she was that EricaKane person here when she was openly posting under her real name at WoST, even doing audio interviews as proof it was her. The EricaKane poster here only hurt her soap career, so I don't see the logic behind everyone thinking that was her.

Chris, whenever I come to this board, this evil "Vee" person accuses me (and a few others) of being her.

I told about going to see her in person when she hosted The Schomburg Center in N.Y. and being a sister

and an industry person I was star-struck and kept bragging about her, therefore I AM HER by his warped

defininition.

Finally, I just went on and copped to it.

There's a bunch of hateful white dudes at this site who have an "UNNATURAL" obsession with this woman

and I personally believe that at the core of their ridiculousness is you know what.

This chick is just not that important for this to be going on for YEARS and YEARS.

I even lost respect (after I got done laughing) over how they've banned her name and created a cult around

her. It's so absurd.

I mean, my god, WHO IS SHE to warrant all this?

I've heard tons of rumors of her working on other soaps besides "DAYS", but I've stopped adding to the

rumor mill, because some people from WOST set me straight about a few things regarding Voof. A lot of

people love making up lies about her apparently and it's not just because of her past. It's because a lot

of them are disgruntled writers who resent a black woman getting jobs and winning awards. You can just

hear it in how they mutilate her name.

I also thought she was a super nice person at her book reading and really cool. The whole audience loved her.

It's only when you come to SON that you run into these high strung rejects from the "Carrie" movie.

According to everyone I've talked to she's rich Vee.

Therefore she can afford to LOOK from home, right?

I mean honestly to work on soaps, you never have to leave home. You just

email your resume and take phone calls. Nobody leaves home anymore.

Well, listen, you can believe what you want. But, if you get curious, ask the moderators. Ask Kenny. Ask anybody. All I'm saying, my baby, is that your particular story with this character is the same circle jerk that's been done to numerous people. You're not the first. You won't be the last. If she were to tell me the sky was blue, I would need at least seven independent confirmed sources, and none of them would be murky literary websites or online zines that have no documentation that can be backed up under more than five minutes of scrutiny.

Vee, I was on SON staff when the [s.W.S.N.B.N.] stuff was going on, but I still don't believe any of it.

Thats pretty much a lie.

GalleyCat is as well known as Daily Variety and TV GUIDE, Amazon, African Writing, Farafina are all major

online publications that boast major literary writers.

She also won a major writing award from Sweden and I did check, it's one of the biggest for women

in that country. You have to search Woman to Woman in Swedish, which is Kavinna Till Kavinna. She's also

the first black woman to win that award.

Her book was also the first by a black author to hit #1 in Denmark since Alex Hailey's "Roots".

I'm a black woman and a writer, so I tend to cheer any "token" we get since we don't have very many to

begin with, and I will be buying her new novel coming up Vee.

Sorry, I think she's great and I could care less what websites she's supposedly posted on.

I just don't get the big deal.
