OK so this topic is kinda vague but I was watching an old OLTL on youtube from 1997 where I was surprised to see Larry Wolek made a few return appearances back then (has he since?)

SO it made me think waht are some other formerely major characters (ie not just bit parts) where the character in theory still live sin their soap town--sometimes might even be name dropped but we never see anymore...

AMC has Tom Cudahy (I assume? I know he moved away with Livia for a while but I assum ehe's meant to be back now that she is)

Brooke (GRRRR)

OLTL has Larry Wolek who I really wish they'd remembewr and build up his family (iknow the actor a few itmes has said that he'd come back anytime they wanted him). I'm sure there are tons more...

Yeah I was going to say Mickey, ever since John Ingle left last year they've referred to him as working mostly even on holidays.

I always thought it would be funny if they snagged Wally Kurth to come back as Justin for a few eps he could say he just saw Mickey at the hospital or something. I now I'm a dork.

On AMC...

Becca Tyree

Anita Santos

Brooke English (of course)

Kevin Sheffield

Grace Keefer (sidebar: I noticed both AMC and GH writers spelled names like these with double E's instead of the "ie" or "ei" like Keefer instead of Kiefer or Keesha Ward instead of Keisha Ward)

Axel Green

Enid Nelson - she's on the PVH board of directors

Sydney Harris

Langley Wallingford

Shannon, Mindy, Heather, Marcus, Kenny

Zeke McMillan (who never showed up for Simone's funeral  )

Alfred Vanderpoole

ETA: Petey Cortlandt

DAYS

Mickey Horton - It sucks that they won't just address the actor's absence. I mean, how long are they going to continue saying that Mickey is out of town? He missed last Christmas. It's going to be pushing it to have the character miss this upcoming Christmas as well. I don't think John Clarke will come out of retiremand, so I think it would be smart to just kill the character off. I think they should do it now before it's too late. And when I say too late, I'm talking about when it is time to lay the character of Alice Horton to rest. Are they really going to try and tell us that Mickey is caught up with work and can't make it to his mother's funeral?

    • The new Ted comes off as older to me. His stature and appearance remind me of Vernon but without Vernon's charisma. He doesn't have the presence MJ had. Maybe KR will surprise us in the future but I'm not really invested in Ted as a character anymore.
    • Moving closer to the summer, I hope one of the new sets we get is like a beach house with/ a pool or something outside.
    • I agree that Keith's version of Ted does come across as younger. I thought that Ted's conversation with Kat today was interesting. He painted a picture that no one including the audience has seen before. Leslie behaving like he described why he was initially drawn to her, though of course it doesn't excuse him of hurting/cheating on Nicole. I did like Ted's honesty/vulnerability in his conversation with Kat. I also continue to like Bill's relationship with Naomi. I believe he does genuinely love her and vice versa. Like she stated today he doesn't make it easy for her to love him, but she does. I would like to see them team up one day and be on the same side with something. I think that it's interesting that June doesn't know who the pictures of the two children are. I think it might be an older picture of her and Hayley together as siblings, like some people up here have already suggested. I also wonder what Ted will get Eva for her birthday. And I liked Eva giving it a little to Leslie on today's show when she brought up that people may soon suspect Leslie regarding Laura's accident. Leslie tried to spin it more like it may have been Eva's doing to Kat, but I did like Eva standing her ground and telling Leslie she wouldn't allow herself to be used so that Leslie could get closer to Ted.
    • You make some really good points here. I think Abigail Klein is quite likeable she's just been written as very wishy washy and cookie cutter.   There is nothing that makes her stand out as Patch/Kayla's daughter like you stated. Ron never seemed to have a clear idea what to do with Stephanie or who to pair her with.  I do think it's a fixable problem, but she needs to get away from Alex, IMO.
    • NuTed comes off looking and sounding like a weakling compared to both Nicole and Leslie. Smh.

ENOUGH WITH THE VIOLIN. I'M READY TO BURN IT.
    • Keith you're doing amazing Sweetie
    • I'm not caring for Ashley right now. Initially, I liked her but not right now. Currently, I don't care for her individually or with Derek. I can understand her not liking him doing stuff like leaving things around/drinking straight out of the carton. But she still comes across as immature and sheltered to me with her approach in trying to deal with him/their relationship. You can tell she's never really lived with anyone before outside of Jan. She needs to grow up a bit and get some more life experience. Derek probably should just move out at this point. I don't want Ashley near Andre either. Andre has grown on me and deserves someone more interesting and more mature.
    • Not Kit Kat brat.

Leslie gave her blow-by-blow. Pay attention, Kat.
