TV Guide: Better Days Ahead

I think Scott was fired in 2001, but I don't know by whom? I strongly doubt that Bell canned him. Yes, Shaughnessy was very good on Y&R, he should return to help out LML. Supervising Producer is not a nothing position. It's a crucial part of a producing staff. SP's work very closely with the EP. They're next in line for EP.

Who do you want to steer GH into a rocking succession of stories? Do you want the unjustly removed Korte & Val Jean team to return? How about Frons' replacement, Angela Shapiro? Will Riche ever return to daytime? Many are calliing for Karen Harris to HW, not me. Hated Port Charles after LML quit in 1999. Harris is an under-rated & great scriptwriter. Case in point: Friday, September 7, 2007.

For GH, I'd want a co-head writing team with Michele Val Jean and Karen Harris. Both are tremendously underrated and I could see them restoring at least some class to GH. Elizabeth Korte is HORRENDOUS imo, I've never liked her work and I think she's just deplorable as her best friend Guza.

As for EP, I think someone like Francesca James could do wonders with GH. She was once a supervising producer, under Riche I believe.

I'd gladly accept Riche back to GH as well, but I doubt that will happen. Riche needs the return to daytime though, I'd actually love her at Y&R, I think she could help restore come of the class and sophistication the show's lost. I also think she'd gladly rehire Kay Alden and writers who actually know the history of the show.

    • I'm going by clips so it's possible that the fan who did the editing made it look a different way than it was.
    • I’m sure Trisha-Mann Grant would love to play those layers too.  It stuck me when she said in an interview that she could identify with the pain Leslie carried because she was a single mother of two struggling with no help raising her kids at one point. You can tell playing Leslie means a lot to her, as devious as the character is (which I’m sure is fun to play for any actor)!
    • Not a director or writer, but Kevin Hamburger is now listed as supervising producer at Y&R, replacing longtime supervising producer John Fisher. Hamburger is a buddy of Steve Kent, going back to when they were both producers at Santa Barbara
    • Getting caught up on last week. The Tracy and BLQ scenes were so good. Jane Elliot and Amanda Setton are just wonderful scene partners together. The relationship they’ve built over the years for their characters is just so rich.

    • Okay sounds nice. I consider myself a dash of Annelle, Truvy, and Louisa.
    • What in the world is this even meant to be about? I said  I absolutely am not playing, period.  OH! Okay, thanks. I did not know how she is a Spencer & I was trying to make it work.
    • I intended it to be from film critics, but -- full disclosure -- lifted the Punchline and Steel Magnolias stuff from old blog posts of mine. In short, you're free to share your own criticism, yes. (I've said it before, but I consider myself a Clairee with more than a little Annelle.)
