He was afraid to play the top guys. He played no one in Paris. He's delusional if he thinks he can win Wimbledon seeded #8. He could only complete three matches in Paris.

These fourth round men's matches have been a snooze fest.

The women bottom half draw is dreadful. The ratings are going to be horrific. Last year with Swanjki making the finals and winning brought all time lows.

It doesn’t help that they only show the big stars, so people can get familiar with the up-and-comers. Like I get it, but it’s short-sighted and a self-fulfilling prophecy. They are replaying Federer/Koepfer on NBC (both of whom are now out of the tournament) instead of letting people watch Fokina/Delbonis, one of whom will make the quarters.

NBC’s ratings don’t make me any money either way. I just wanna watch some competitive tennis, big stars or not.

Yup..tennis won't grow until the tennis media stop playing favorites.

Golf lost viewers with Tiger semi gone but they're still pulling 5s and 6s in ratings for major finals. Of course they have more Americans doing better and ratings are up from last year.

@Faulkner Remember when Thiem took Nadal to 5 sets in the US Open? The tennis crowd was like who is this Thiem guy? That was so telling. TC brushed it off and pretended like the actually covered Thiem matches.

And they’re playing favorites with people who are on the last legs of their careers. And then when the other big superstar (Naomi) withdraws early, they’re caught flat-footed. Pretty much they’re now relying on Coco, who they prefer over even Rafole.

So basically, Fed used RG as a warm up tourney...RG thanked him and wished him well in his prep for Wimby?  He has to listen to his body but Naomi can't do what is best for her?

Even Fedfans knew that had Roger been in Naomi's place, the response would have been different, quite a few said so on the same day the Slams came down hard on Osaka.

Is it wrong that I'm more fascinated with this Sabalenka scandal than the actual tournament?

Keep up, man!

Apparently, allegedly Sabs is sleeping with some married ex-hockey player. The wife (who recently had a pandemic baby), apparently blasted Aryna on Instagram. I don't speak Russian but several native speakers were saying this.

When I initially heard about a WTA player sleeping with a married guy, I immediately thought of Kvitova until I saw the name.

Damn... Sabs personal life is more interesting than her tennis.

Damn..He's almost 20 years her senior and looks older than that in his pic. She can do better! There are hotter guys on the men's tennis tour.
