Man is Sabalenka good. Muguruza played the best she’s played in a while, and it still wasn’t enough.

More on the WTA/Tennis Channel deal, including the tidbit that TC offered less than 10 percent of what BeIN offered in the last bidding cycle:

Woke up to see Muguruza and Sabalenka bludgeoning each other.

This lack of coverage is really pissing me off!

Mugu needs to change coaches before her career is a thing of the past!

Ostapenko double bageled by someone I've never heard of!  Sigh...

It was a great match. Sabalenka is just too good right now, and Muguruza played really well.

Ostapenko claims she had an injured wrist.

^^^very poor decision by Ostapenko.  You get bageled in the first, your wrist is hurting so you keep hitting just to see if you can bageled in the 2nd?  What are these coaches teaching these kids?

A wrist injury is so much different than stomach pains in this sport!

Sabalenka and Osaka are going to rule the top 2 spots really soon!

Someone said that Ostapenko's ball toss was going the way of Ivanovic, so it was fairly obvious that she was having physical issues.

This is what happens when your sport lacks a player's union.

The tournaments, even some coaches are most interested in getting these players to play tournaments, not to take time off to recuperate and heal.

At this point, it seems like you have to over 30 with multiple Slams not to be penalized for taking time off during the season.

It's not just Ostapenko, what about Madison Keys?  Why was she out there playing when she clearly shouldn't be?  This is the second tournament in a row where she either had to withdraw or retire from a match.

Jack Sock loses once again in the first round....  If he doesn't gain anymore points and loses all of his points from last year....he'll have only 350 ranking points which will drop him from #17 to #157:lol:

Deadspin has the rundown of the dustup between Sloane and Pavs, complete with the actual video that the WTA tried to delete.

Sloane Stephens Feuds With Opponent: "[!@#$%^&*] Bitch Tried To Hit Me"

I really want to see Joker and Roger get into it like that...you know Joker wants to....

Roger: That b!tch(referring to Joker) thinks he can steal my fans.

Joker: What did you say??

Roger: Your heart antics to the fans at the end of the match is so fake as you are.....

Joker: Come say that to my face

The Swiss, the Germans and the U.S. look pretty formidable.  Of course, the French are a wildcard, if ever I've seen one.

I thought Ferrer had retired?  The Greek team looks good too.
