Members Faulkner
He has lost the plot. Just not the same player he was last year. Yet still trying to provoke the crowd.

Administrator Toups Posted September 24, 2022 Author Administrator Share Posted September 24, 2022 Now that was a send off! Roger got a long interview, his family was there, there was a montage, Nadal and Novak who were part of the "big 3" were there, players lifted him in the air, Rod Laver was there, Ellie Goulding performed! The first song was great but the second song was unnecessary. LOL Saddest parts for me was seeing Roger and Nadal sitting on the bench both crying, and of course Roger's family hugging and crying together. Now I wish Serena got this type of farewell. She deserves a big ceremony like this.

Members Faulkner
What happened to Tsitsipas? Looked like he was cruising over Frances. Just a typical meltdown, or did Frances just start redlining? Novak shouldn’t have played this glorified exho if he was having problems with his wrist. Just play a light schedule like the other vets and let the young boys exert themselves.
Members Faulkner
What is this mess? And Bublik is posting it like he’s proud.
Members Faulkner
So funny how Nishioka totally owns Dan Evans’s ass. 6-0 h2h.
Members Fevuh
Oh my. I didn’t see this. I thought - what’s the big deal except put some mustard on it at that short angle, and I’ve wondered why more people don’t just dink a ball away instead of crazy overheads - and it’s a fine play he was just lazy in not putting enough on it to scoot it in - and then bounce wide off the court and……..wait. He used the HANDLE of his racquet?! WTF LOLLLL
Members Faulkner
Bublik is a clown. It’s a final, and he doesn’t even bother to make an effort to defend a break point with an easy put-away and avoid going two breaks down? If I were a fan of his, I’d be pissed. Most players wouldn’t even pull a stunt like that during a meaningless hit-and-giggle exhibition match.
Members Soapsuds
Pitiful Roger Federer’s final tennis match, a Laver Cup doubles match in which he and Rafael Nadal lost to Frances Tiafoe and Jack Sock, averaged 327,000 viewers on Tennis Channel September 23.
Members Faulkner
Just saw that the Nadal/Djokovic match at Roland Garros this year got 666k viewers, so that’s not a lot, no. But I do wonder if casual viewers knew the Laver doubles match was happening amid the din of the Federer retirement news.
Members Soapsuds
Tennis Channel promoted the hell out of it from tv promos to a countdown.
Members Faulkner
People would have to be watching TC to see that, though. (Their daily viewership is probably tiny.) It’s easier when it’s Grand Slam season and more casual viewers are tuning in more regularly.
