I still am scratching my head at the Stepanek hire. He is the last coach i would hire and where is Andre?? He has been MIA. Novak is a hot mess. If he didn't know till the last minute if he would play or not means he isn't ready.

In most cases..not all...the girl tends to look like the mother. Not in the case of my cousin though...LOL....so I see your point....either way Stepanek is a dog.

Yup...got to watch both matches. Gawd I love when Harrison loses and he loses it on court....LOL. But Tennis Channel continues to pimp both. I knew Fritz couldn't back up his 4th round from IW. And Ryan Harrison continues to lose in the first round...LMAO.

Serena has a lot of work to do. Her serve seemed pretty strong initially, but the lack of movement and conditioning was just too glaring.

 

Osaka is adorable.

Yeah, this was not a surprise to me. Naomi is on a confidence high and is playing well and Serena's still trying to work her way back.  I think she is discovering that working her way back is very different from previous times when she was injured, a totally different situation for her.

 

A lot of people are now criticizing Serena because two reporters just reported that she skipped the post-match press.  One even tweeting that she "stormed" out.  The criticisms of the WS are always intense so I think I'll close out of that part of social media today.

I'm not shocked but I'm happy for Naomi!  If Serena never wins another tournament, I'm good as she has given us everything and then some!  

 

I believe I said last year, Tennis will need a new phenom (of color) and here she is!  

I love this young woman.
