Lord, where to begin?

I thought Sasha played well and so glad he won. I am shocked that he is the first of the younger group to win a 1000 title. He beat Nick and Thiem who I thought would get one before Sasha. And Sasha is now number #10 in the world and will be seeded #9 in Paris. Could they have given him a shittier trophy? This is a 1000 tourney and the trophy looked like a junior tournament trophy made of plastic. IMO clay is not even Sasha's best surface. I think he is far better in hard court and fast indoors.

..he is dr jekyll and mr hyde. He looked awful from the beginning from double faulting to shanking balls all over the place. Where was the yelling?  Where was his pimp thrusting? All we got today was pure obscenities with a warning. He actually should have gotten a point penalty as he continued to curse. I had to LOL at his brother Marko and his wife in the stands. Marko looking at Jelena with the look of here we go again and she was of the look of WTF?  But the best part was seeing Marko react to a bad shot by Novak by laughing...priceless!

And news that Novak will announce Andre Agassi as his new coach on Wednesday. Nice try Boris but he isn't hiring you back....LOL

Oh Novak...bye bitch!

Andre and Boris have history and it is loaded with beef, so it's going to be interesting to see those Nolé- related tweets from Boris from now on.

If anything, and I said this ages ago, Boris should've tried to work with Sascha Zverev. Oh well, doesn't look like that will be necessary.

Ah didn't know there was bad blood. Boris was still licking yesterday by posting on twitter on how great Nole played.

I think Sasha is fine for now.

I usually find the FO dull and my least favorite major but I am looking forward to it this year. So many good storylines this year.

I think it's brilliant. I honestly can't think of a better fit in terms of game, success level, and temperament. Agassi had a way more severe career slump than Novak ever did, so he knows how to bounce back from adversity to achieve great heights.

Unlike Andy, Novak seems to be slowly but surely finding his way. He's back in the mix on the Race to London. And I like his chances in Best of Five matches at Roland Garros.

I think I can agree with SS that this will be a really exciting RG. Too bad I'll be traveling in SE Asia for the duration of it, but hopefully I can catch some matches.

Easy solution Nicole...start winning.....LOL.

I guess it's easy for the Trumpsters like Ryan Harrison to continue playing tennis since they are loaded with money off court.

The costs to a tennis player will ensure that many of the hungriest (and perhaps some of the most promising) athletes will go to more accessible sports.

Perhaps this is one of the reasons why except for a few players, American men have been languishing in the rankings for pretty much a generation.

Lord.

    • Ashley just wants to schtup Andre. She needed to create a big meltdown in order to get rid of Derek and feel no guilt. Doug needed to lay Joey out on the floor. He needs to get some courage and beat Joey down to the ground. Kat turning down a date with Tomas to see if Eva was locked up is a sign she's going to lose him. Even without Eva in the picture she was going to have problems. The way she talked to him when he bumped into her and she didn't know it was him seemed to be a red flag too. Leslie has revealed a whole lot of the truth on her own. Without her making all those comments to Kat she wouldn't have ended up at the police station.

) Anyways... I did really feel disgusted by Eurovision this year and I doubt I'll watch this horrific musical torture in the future. My ears and my psyche will not survive.
    • Regarding the mobster storyline: The scripts, the cardroom set, and the writing for Joey -- are all terrible. They seem to be writing a realistic depiction of compulsive gambling as an addiction, showing that it pops into his head all the time -- it has become hardwired into his brain.  The APA (American Psychological Association) describes compulsive gambling as having a similar effect on the physical brain as drug and alcohol addiction. https://www.apa.org/monitor/2023/07/how-gambling-affects-the-brain I think Jason Graham (Doug) is doing an adequate job playing Doug as a compulsive gambler, with the thoughts/urges coming into his head all the time, and being unable to stop. However, the cardroom set is awful and the mobster storyline is a bad cliché, so it's all so uninteresting to watch. I think Mr. Graham is doing the best he can with the crap they gave him to work with. If anyone reading or watching has a gambling issue, check out Gamblers Anonymous.  They have many types of meetings -- in-person, online, video, audio, etc.  They also have resources for friends/family of compulsive gamblers.
    • Today was painful (especially for Philip).  I still feel for Xander. He was clear he was happy sharing and working with Philip. It's just one more betrayal from someone he loved. Going back to last year when he found out about Victor and Fiona, then Alex and Philip. He forgave and tried. Then Philip went behind his back again. He's been walking on the edge for weeks. This is a man who was abused, neglected and has never had any therapy for his horrific past. He has zero coping skills because he's never learned them. I hate this but I refuse to hate Xander
