>> Y&R's Doug Davidson(Paul) crossing over

I would've sent over J.T. to investigate (and possibly chemistry-test him w/ Phoebe and Bridget); but, okay.

>> possibly Morgan De Witt

That so better be just a rumor.

>> Ridge is getting closer again to Brooke and the kids, upsetting his relationship with Ashley

Like no one saw that coming.

>> Nick tricks Stephanie

Congrats, Steph, you've been outsmarted by JACK. WAGNER.

>> Eric annuls his marriage, and moves in with Jackie

Lord, can't these people take cold showers!?

No no no no NO. I would love to see Morgan come back in an intelligent non-stunty way but if they only want her to kidnap Stephanie and thus redeem her for the rape involvement, I'll leave it.

Love the idea of Ashley hiring Paul to investigate Brooke's rape but have zero interest in Ridge getting closer to Brooke and the kids. It's done, dead, over. Move on.

Finally I'm all for Eric ditching Stephanie's ass. I've never bought into the sham of a marriage and only wish Pam was still on the scene to complicate things further.

Thanks Evan.. Why is it that every time Stephanie does something horrible they find some way to redeem her? Llet her pay for her crimes already. Stick her in jail for awhile and see how she likes it. Now why would Eric move in with Jackie if she and Nick are going after the Forrester name? Will someone please explain this to me?

I hope that Morgan's return is true as well. She was a great villain during her 2000 stint but the way they brought her back in 2005 was really pointless. Why would she kidnap Stephanie when Steph's going to be under fire from everyone? Wouldn't it be logical to kidnap her after...or maybe they'll meet up in jail somehow. My mind's still scrambling to see if they could pull it off.

Considering Sheila would have to be undead at that point (until proven otherwise), that could actually get interesting in a hurry...but I digress. :)

Paul Williams showing up for a handful of episodes, a la Christine Blair, would continue to cement the current vibe that B&B is more Y&R than Y&R (only set on trashy). I'm actually all for that...if LML can't or won't embrace the synergy, then let Brad Bell and Kay Alden run like hell with it.

As for Morgan DeWitt...I'd watch Sarah Buxton read Michener in curlers and giant fuzzy slippers, so I'm a little biased. But using her to balance the scales, or try to, for Stephanie's acting as Andy's enabler WRT Brooke...it just figures.

    • Thanks @Paul Raven  Amidst these terrible stories I see we get the arrival of Heather. I never knew Alice forged references for her. No wonder she later became a murderer. She was a criminal all along.  The Jeff/Monica/Rick story always seems so brazen and so depressing all at once - I can't imagine how people would have talked about it in the Internet/Twitter era.  I don't understand the choice to put Audrey and Steve through even more misery after they had been separated for almost a decade. The sudden inclusion of magazine stories is fascinating...and I'm not sure if it is ever a huge story narrative for GH after this point, even when characters on the show ran magazines. The end of the Leslie and Cam story did not need to be like this (and feels a little rushed). Had every woman on the canvas at this time been raped?
    • I am bewildered and fascinated by the choice to have John Loprieno and Adam Storke play out all their dramatic sequences here in clown makeup. They really took that circus motif seriously.

    • Happy belated birthday to Joan. Here's an interview with Jackie Collins at about 39 minutes.

    • Does anyone have a favorite adult Russ Matthews?  Which actor did you like most?  Sam Groom, Robert Hover, or David Bailey??  And why?   And if Russ had returned late in AW's run, what actor would you have wanted to portray him?  One of the former actors, or someone new??
    • I think the move to NBC dealt a huge blow to SFT that caused the show to slowly bleed out throughout their almost five year run on that network. SFT was a CBS show and it really showed when it first started airing on NBC so I understood P &G having to make adjustments to the soap in order to make it fit onto the NBC schedule vs the CBS schedule. The 1983 Tomlin/Lee era was probably the strongest while it was on NBC.  They managed to still focus on Stu/Stephanie/Jo while developing a strong youth focus with Wendy/Warren/Suzi/Kristen/ Brian with the comic element with Rhonda Sue and her partner.  This helped the show from staying the Liza/Travis show.. which it was in 1981/1982.
    • Hey, I'm wondering if anyone has cross-referenced Spauldingfield's undated episodes with the German playlists? An angel has been uploading to the Soap Vault and it would be great to be able to date all those episodes. I have access to rename them, if anyone has a list.

    • It’s sad that all these fabulous soap writers who truly understand the craft are dead/going to die soon. I wonder if there will ever be a resurgence of writers who can carry on their legacy one day.
