Watching this episode and now that the cotillion is over...I couldn't help but wonder which story would be the next one to hit climax. The Hayley storyline finally...or the truth about Doug now that the twins were zeroing in on Joey and Vanessa? Because both stories got movement going again this episode. And it was better for it.
First Drew on GH got his hand twitching and now Bill here? hehe. But at least at last the poison that Hayley has gone back to using on him has started to work again. And I liked that they mentioned in her talk with Randy that it IS supposed to be slow...not Hayley overdosing him which she had stopped doing. Fingers crossed they don't lose the momentum on it again and just let it build and explode.
I was here for Kat and her zingers this episode. And of course her talking common sense to her dad. I can't believe (okay I can) that Ted is that stupid. But the writers really are bound and determined for him to play Straight Man to SilkPress's craziness.
And I hated having SilkPress back. Last week was the better without her. Moreso if it is going to be Cartoon Leslie time!!! You mean to tell me she could not even give sad shade to Derek? REALLY? I at least appreciated that Eva actually cared.
I know that I've said that I will take Nicole anyway that I can get her. But...dare I say it...it's time for the next story turn in this Carlton/Kial storyline as well. I think (especially with the add-on of the Ted fantasies) that I'm actually growing bored with it. At least I do like how both sides of the triangle has grown and that I'm not sure personally which one I would like her with or who would have the most drama that I would want her with them...hehe.
Le sigh. Deanna, Deanna, Deanna. I kinda figured it was a fantasy and not an alive Doug. Or...is it? Deanna kinda acted like he was real at the last minute. That said...I know it was debated the meaning of it over the weekend with the cliffhanger what that could mean for Deanna. I definitely don't want Deanna weakened because she can be a good drive to story and played by a stronger actress. And even though it sounded like in conversation she definitely has Joey and Vanessa pegged, what does it mean that she's talking to herself? Or was Doug a ghost? I could lean into a ghost and Deanna is avenging him. Anything that will get us to the next part of this story...and hopefully keep Deanna (and Donnell) on canvas...works for me.
Randy and Silk Press Sheila as a C plot? Hmmm.
Good start so far.
