I'm sitting around debating with myself if I should keep binge watching Sisters before Melodifestivalen or if I should finally start watching The Haves and the Have Nots. 🤔

If I were you, I'd keep binge-watching "Sisters." Even at its' weakest, it's still more gratifying than anything Tyler Perry has dreamed up. (Of course, YMMV, lol).

I did watch two episodes of The Haves and the Haves Not and it was very daytime soapy, except a bit shallow but somewhat entertaining. I didn't expect much tbh but nothing was as bad as the clips I've seen of Tyler Perry's shows on YouTube (but there's always time!).

But yeah, I continued on Sisters after that and now it's about 40 minutes left until MelFest.

That's because TP's scenes (on ALL his shows, not just THATHN) are like Möbius strips: they start nowhere and finish exactly in the same place.

I mean, yeah. I've only seen two episodes but they sort of start and end at the same place as they start.

I also want to somewhat address Tyler Perry's weird views on homosexuality. Does he think that if gays want to oogle weird [!@#$%^&*], they have to get their best friend into rehab and get weird about nudity to flaunt his butt to them? I'd think you'd just join a gym and be that weirdo in the corner if that's your beat.

Have and Have Nots is entertaining but there came a point where I stopped watching and never picked back up. I found the pacing to be very difficult to handle. I wanna say the entire series took place over a few weeks. It's just ridiculous when you consider all of the things that happened.

Tyler Perry is a closeted, self-hating gay, who hides behind religious condemnation of other gays, rather than accept his own truths. There, I've said it. And I'm not taking it back.

Actually, it does kind of explain the weirdness about top / bottoms that seem to exist in his work. Obviously, if you penetrate, you're straight. If you're a bottom, you just take it up the butt (what?). Either way I think he needs serious therapy because that's just messed up. And maybe step away from Grindr.

I always wondered if the characters in a TP production were hard of hearing because they would repeat questions and statements over and over.

He would have been better off employing some of the hacks from daytime like Ron C, Dena H, etc... he made them look like Shakespeare lol
