Steve Kent think LML is the greatest, and that sucks.

Kent's already been working with Latham for a while now. He was one of the people who decided take away Y&R's trademark camera movements.

Chris B posted these comments from Latham in December.

"Bill, Steve and Barbara wanted every second of airtime focused on the characters. So we replaced some traditional Y&R stylistic devices--like slow arcs and pans at the beginning of scenes -- withmore dynamic blocking and camera movement. We're cutting away sooner, rather than taking multiple reaction shots."

Maybe Kent and Bloom wanted these pointless changes, but I doubt Bill Bell co-signed this and if he did, It was because he didnt know any better. This sounds like something LML wanted and she enlisted her two bitches, Bloom and Kent, to go about doing it for her.

I wouldnt mind if Hogan Sheffer quit DAYS and went over to Y&R instead. Im sure he can do a better job with Y&R than with DAYS.

Yes. I have seen it. And thats one of the reasons why I want him gone from DAYS as soon as possible. But I agree with what some other posters said that the best option for Y&R is to get back some of the old writers who knows the show.

Sadly, with Y&R's UNDESERVED Emmy win for Outstanding Drama Series (Which GL should've won by itself), I don't see this hack going anywhere for a very long time.

Yes, I have seen Amber on Y&R and I'm thrilled she's on. She is not just great but I LOVE her on Y&R. It's one of the reasons I watch it every day & love what I'm seeing. Other than the Sheila debacle I have little or nothing to complain about on Y&R. Days and other shows, different story. I suspect I'll be complaining a lot less about B&B soon.

As sad as this sounds, LML is going to stay on Y&R for a long time. I want those old times to return, but it seems unable to happen. I've stopped watching because it became really bad, and maybe I should start watching B&B. The arrival of Kay Alden, Janice Ferri Esser and other writers from Y&R will make B&B an amazing show. Even OLTL, AMC, DOOL is more interesting than Y&R lately. I'm sad to see the show like this because I had a lot of respect for the show and now I lost it. I'll rejoin the show as soon as things start changing for the better. I'll only read what's on (mostly because I'm interested in seeing how Jana will fare in Genoa City again).

Why are they doing that? That is like asking for the ratings to drop.

^Because Barbara Bloom is a nutcase who should've been fired a year ago.

They should've known that Y&R's been #1 all these years because it did its own thing, it was never ABC-ish before.

The sad things is, no soap on the air stays true to its identity. All these shows are a shell of their former selves, it's really pathetic.
