Actually, yes. Whether or not you're watching "Passions" on NBC or DirecTV, when it moves, it's just a fact that the show, on a broad plane, affects us all. Just ask "Desperate Housewives" fans.

No, it won't.

I agree. I forgot about that. Divins is focusing on other parts of his life, and starting up business ventures. Good for him. I'm almost kind of sorry to lose him, LOL. Almost. But I doubt once he's gone I'll care, so ...

And the list that was announced, was Danica Stewart on it? I can't recall ...

Nope.

Along with Bellani and Wystrych, Danica Stewart (Jessica), Adrian Wilson (Chris), Charles Divins (Chad), Brook Kerr (Whitney), and Cathy Janeen Doe (Simone) have yet to sign new contracts. I believe Adrian Wilson is already done with the show.

Andrea Evans (Rebecca), Christopher Maleki (Spike), Rodney Van Johnson (TC), Philip Jeanmarie (Vincent), and Daphnee Duplaix Samuel (Valerie) are all on recurring so they won't be among those who sign DirecTV contracts. They will continue to be paid on an episode-by-episode basis.

We know Silvana Arias (Paloma) is leaving and being recast when the show jumps. James Stevenson (Jared) only signed a one year contract and will likely exit when the show jumps. I don't think Jared will be recast though.

Besides Kerr and Doe, it's like they took all of the really really horrible actors and dumped them. LOL. It's so hilarious. I guess cable has it's standards.

I've warmed up to Adrian Bellani too, and would miss him a bit if he left......

If Mark Wystrach left tomorrow I wouldn't miss him at all, he's not that good of an actor and his portrayal of Fox has been pretty bland since day 1........

Well, we'll just have to agree to disagree on this very important issue.

And thanks, KMan. I'm glad you agree that "Passions" extends beyond the soap opera.

I think Charles Divins (Chad) has a Texas hair salon to focus on, along with his two best friends, one of whom is a hair stylist who'll be running the place. Charles' other friend will be responsible for the finances while Charles says that HE will promote it. I do wonder if TPTB approached Charles about continuing and he refused or if they just decided that Chad has run his course and perhaps told him that he's DONE!

WHOA, SHOCKER!!!

I did not see that coming.

And a hair salon, eh? Kinda makes you wonder...

An interesting choice of a business indeed! I was kind of surprised when I read the interview in which he spoke of it. He also mentioned wanting to open a retail store, a bar, and a couple of other businesses that have slipped my mind. It seems that Charles has become quite the entrepreneur.
