Rion, others will joke but I think you're onto something. I've long believed that some soap watches, if the minority, are extremely psychotic and model their lives off those of their favorite soap opera characters. I'd say this often occurs with soap fans who lack high self-esteem and those who have body issues, or issues with the opposite sex. Those who are perhaps lonely and do little more than watch soaps all day, on tape, and fantasize about being their favorite heroine -- but using all the tricks of the villainess to attain their desires. It happens, not all the time, but I'd say with about 5 percent of the soap audience, it happens.

I agree, jcar. It's simply silly to think there aren't people out there who truly idolize the soaps' anti-heroes and villains.

That's exactly what Taylor did on "Spyder Games." In the end, she decided that if Sami were in her shoes, she would've slept with an underaged boy as well. And murdered a man.

Also, scheming Amy on "Sunset Beach" would often ask herself, "What would Sami do?" Apparently those Beachers were Days fanatics! When Tracey Melchior's character came to town, several people remarked how much she looked just like 'that evil Kristen from Days of Our Lives.'

Me too! Such a great show, so much potential. Natalia Carlisle was... ooh! I loved her. Such a spiteful, hateful bitch. I remember being STUNNED when I found out that Ivan's gay internet boyfriend was actually Natalia. What a hateful [!@#$%^&*]! LoL

There was supposed to be a scene at their father's funeral where Natalia took off her panties (while wearing a skirt) and flashed her cooch to someone, causing them to have a heart attack, but I recall that scene being cut and I was upset as hell!

Remember the rave episodes? Those were exciting as sh!t!

What was the name of Natalia's little sidekick buddy? The nerdy boy? I think he got hit by a car during the rave episodes or something... or maybe he was driving the car that hit someone else.

It should've really been put on NBC in place of Passions. That show had loads and loads of potential, if it were given a decent budget.
