math looks very promising...

I think the reveal will bring Alan closer to his stepdaughter despite his lack of interest in that family. Alan's subconscious was very telling. He told Ash that he would never love or accept her. I believe he will fight it, but they will become close. Imagine Ashley trying to get Alan's approval as she tries to stay out of his way. Alan's divorce is right around the corner.

I look forward to this story.

Had a feeling it was her, but this was still a LAME plot twist.

I'm SO over David Kreizman. Homeboy needs to be replaced.

I just began watching after not viewing for years, and I saw Ashley for the 1st time a few weeks ago. I thought she was a great addition to the show. Her mother too.

It was shocking for me because I am not familiar with the day to day things that lead to the shooting. I am just interested in the aftermath because I think this means great things for Alan and Ashley. They seem to need one another. I really like the potential.

BTW, I hear so much about Kreizman. What is the biggest complaint about him? What could he be doing differently?

Where's Dan when you need him? LOL.

I have made allowances for Kreizman in the past, but lately the show just doesn't have enough emotional impact for me. His stories have great ideas and startups, but horrible follow through.

Gotta go to work...hopefully, I can explain more later.

Even though it has its flaws, I still consider GL the best soap currently on the air. It puts the soaps with the much bigger budgets to shame, that's for sure.

They made that sweet girl an attempted killer? Why? Ashlee seems always on a natural high.

I thought it was a cop out. And I really thought the episode was just way too bloated with Alan's conscience/dream state throwing out scenarios.

David Kriezman has good ideas...Reva's Cancer, Dinah's Return, Roger's death the stories go on and on! He does not know pacing! He forces the stories and ruins the character.

But back to the stories, he has NO, NO, NO follow through!!

I thought it would be Alan-Michael since he is leaving the show and Ashlee was just put on contract so it all seems weird to me.

Someone from the dead should have been goading Alan and telling him the death scenarios. That would have made far more sense to me than Buzz, a living character.

Jenna and Alan knew each other. Fiona's not doing anything daytime related...

The reveal just fell flat for me.

I do agree with whoever said that GL puts soaps with bigger budgets to shame. I find that one of the reasons I watched GL, particularly in most of 2006, was to see how well they would be able to pull off barely having enough money to pay the light bill and, for the most part, they delivered.

I do agree with Marlena DeLaCroix(or whatever her name is) that GL seems like a New York stage, but is that really bad? I mean, if the story and especially the acting is good and if people are watching, what does it matter? I think that was one of the things I LIKED about GL.

I like that it was Ashlee. In fact, I like the whole show lately.

I never once thought it was Ashlee and I think it was a great surprise and turn in the story. She never had a father, was never accepted, her mother was never liked by anyone and her life was never that great...she thought she had it all, finally and then Alan hit her with the bombshell...it made PERFECT sense and was a great point in the story.

I so agree with you. Although I have not watched that long, I think the reveal was terrific. It makes so much sense, and the aftermath has such potential. VanZandt and Raines did a magnificent job in that flashback, and I can't wait to see them in future scenes. Alan will surprise himself when he learns to love that girl. I can't wait to see it.

The shooting was just the springboard...
