AMC: Greenlee is Returning

Well, I've seen pictures of the actress before she blew up her lips - and she looked much more like RB then. They look similar. Dead ringer, though? I don't think so.

Not "dead ringer" in terms of their twins. As I said, it's the dark skin/light hair thing, which you just can't find on any ol' woman these days. Last time I saw something like that, personally, and not on television, must have been in grade school. So think of it this way: as long ago as TEN YEARS AGO, I haven't seen that kind of competition. Ever. So that's pretty powerful stuff and should attest to the difficulty of finding a suitable Greenlee recast -- one that complies with Budig's interpretation (face/hair combo), that is.

The problem I have with Arianne Zucker and some of the other actresses named is that they seem too tall. Even Melissa Claire Egan seems a bit tall for the role. Greenlee was a small little spitfire with alot of bite to her. I think her size did play a part in the character. Its hard to explain but I would love it if they found an actress with a comparable height to Rebecca. It would just be wird to see Greenlee grow several inches

Excellent point. Which makes it even harder to recast the role -- finding that dark/light combo AND the height issue? ha, GOOD LUCK!

Never thought about the height issue before, but I agree. That did add a lot to the persona of the Greenlee character. It would be hard to accept a taller actress.

Really don't think Greenlee is needed, but if the rumors are true about Jamie and Babe leaving, I guess we'll need more characters on there, even though I really would hate a Greenlee recast.

Greenlee really is not needed on the canvas at this time.

I mean if the only reason they are bringing her back is to start a Rylee redux then please NO THANKS!

I like Ryan and Annie and why do we now need a new spoiler for their relationship since Zach and Kendall APPEAR to be solid. And why must we now have a triangle involving Ryan again? Frons has such a hardon for this guy its disgusting. Oh well we will see who ends up getting the role. I find it very hard to believr that's I'd be able to accept the recast. Budig owns this role.

I agree that Greenlee isn't needed right now. The cast is way too full as it is and the character just isn't needed.

As I said I can see everyone's point that she isn't really needed and I am the first to hate new faces. I am holding out all hope that she is at least recast with a vet.

With all that said I am still hoping that this is true. I see her as someone the writers will write for and I am so ready for some of the attention to be taken from Babe & KEndall. And I love that she is mad at Kendall and I will love to see them fight it out.

Greenlee is not needed but can they bring her mother back in the form of Anna Stuart to save Adam from Krystal's clutches and kick that Carey whore out of town?

Without Greenlee there is no purpose for Mary - you would just have another fragmented family on board.

If Greenlee comes back I would hope that Mary would follow soon after. Adam's story is SO tired and needs a new direction. To me, Mary is the best new character introduced within the past five years.

If anyone should kick Krystal from the Chandler mansion it should not be Mary....it should be BROOKE ENGLISH!!! I would love to see that rivarly play out....

Brooke/Adam/Krystal and then when Krystal runs to Tad...Brooke is there to fight Krystal off!!

Also since it is rumored that Alexa is leaving :( I wonder if the new writer will work towards a Tad and Julia pairing because of Kathy/Kate

I see your point Steve, but just because Greenlee comes back doesn't mean the focus will be taken off of Babe OR Kendall. I could both getting just the same airtime. It depends on the new regime.

If the new regime is in place and is the reason for Greenlee returning, maybe it's a sign they want familiar faces (albeit with a recast in place).

And just when are we going to hear who is taking over as headwriter? Whenever McCrap's reign nears its end? It took forever for NBC to officially tell us Hogan was taking over for JER, even though we knew long before.
