That last scene with Jason and Monica actually brought tears to my eyes.

When Edward said, "My boy is gone," my first thought went to Marlon Brandon in the God Father concerning Sonny when he said, "Look what they did to my boy." I know that the two don't compare, but that is what I thought

I'm no Liason fan, but I wish that Liz would have told Lucky the truth and/or told Jason that she plans on marrying Lucky again. It seems that Liz to my shock has found her love for Lucky again. I wonder how her scenes with Jason are going to play out when she drops the bomb shell???

well I think the show is making it obvious today why they killed off Alan even though they dont have to since they still have to pay SD till August. Its all to give Jason some angst about being a father now and how he deals with his baby. Alan's death is mostly about Jason and how it affects him and I hate it bc Jason never gave a rat's ass about him. You want to give Jason some angst, kill off Sonny. He looked at him like a father figure when he took him in

Loving Lucky and Liz again today. Their scenes were beautiful

Carly is a slut. I cant beleive she tried to turn this around on Jax. Um tramp, close your damn legs!

Yeah as was yesterday's, BUT it won't last unless she just comes clean. As tender as those scenes were, it is not fair to Lucky and that is what I am having a problem with. I know that he was wrong to cheat. I know that she was hurt. I also believe that she is sincere when she says that she forgives him. I just think that their relationship in the end will be stronger, because it will show that he is still able to love Liz and the baby no matter what. I guess that is what I want to play out. If she gives him the chance, he just my surprise her in a good way. IMO

LC, SBu, RC, JI, JE were spectacular today! I cried the entire hour.

Regardless of what Jason has done or how he has acted towards the family, he is still a Quartermaine, and he realized today just how much he still is. And it broke my heart to watch.

Jason and Monica's scene at the end just was ... cry.gif

At this point I wonder if Liz loves Lucky but isn't in love with him. Or something like that. I think she feels something genuine for him but they are definitely in the nitty gritty "work on the relationship" stage, and those kind of practical things are often the stages for something more passionate to play over. Anyway, it's interesting, to me anyway, I wonder which way they'll go with them.

Edward, Dillon, Tracy, Jason, and Monica were heartbreaking today! Especially when Monica walked into that big house, thought of all the tumult in their relationship, sighed wistfully, and then proceeded to melt in her son's arms ... sniffle!! And when Edward said "My boy is gone" ... no matter what else, I will always break down at the thought of a parent burying a child. Noooooo Alan, don't be dead!

This was the best episode of GH in years for me. No mob stuff or character pimping (well, they used Alan's death to pimp Jason but whatever). Just good, solid family drama. Lucky/Liz/Lulu/Luke was nice but the q's were where it was at.

RC, JI, LC, SC, JE, and SB were great. This was the best I have seen of Burton in years. Natalia surprised me today. I thought she did well. The reactions were just great. Tracy with Dillon and tell him she loved him, Edward letting down his guard with Skye, and the final moment with Jason and Monica. That broke my heart. That is the storytelling I want.

Too bad GH doesn't give us this all the time. It's sad it takes killing off SD to give us this. sadly, the Q's will be tossed back to the backburner the minute the aftermath is played out. I guess I will just enjoy what I get.

Out of the three shows -- and I'm an AMC Fan First -- General Hospital has been making the most effort during this sweeps month, and things have been making sense. I may not like some if it (Carly's slutty ass rolling around with Sonny, for instance), but at least there have been clear lines from point A to Z.

I totally enjoyed the 2/27 episode. I teared up at the end.

    • Well, Josh was a horndog. LOL Yep. It was one of the first really weird things Reva did with her PPD. She became obsessed with the idea that Dylan and Sam should get married. Sam was only 17, and needed her parent's permission. Reva helped them leave town so they could go to a neighboring state where Sam was old enough. Ross, Billy and Josh stopped them, then Sam went to India to try and persaude Justin. Reva followed her and didn't tell Josh she was going. While Reva was gone, Josh advertised for nannies, and Harley applied. He ended up hiring someone else. But when Reva returned, she hired Harley because (in her weird mental state) she wanted someone she could trust with the kids (because she feared Josh was trying to get rid of her and that Vanessa wanted the children.). After Reva starts treatment, she asks Harley to stay until she's stronger because she's good with the kids. At the party, Reva starts going off the rails, insulting Justin and Josh hauls her to a private dining room to ask WTF. Reva starts confronting him about the "affair" with Vanessa, and he realizes she is weird. He locks her in the dining room and frees Mindy and Van from the ladies room (where Reva has locked them in). Van starts telling him that Reva attacked her and needs help.  Reva escapes out the window of the dining room and goes back to the party, climbs onto a table and starts a striptease. Josh gets her to stop, takes her home and after filling Ed in, decides to go to the doctor the next day. Reva then takes off and spends days running around town, coming on to a guy she thinks is Billy, Billy, Hamp, Frank and Roger.  Roger takes her to his apartment and takes nude pictures of her, which he tries to blackmail Billy with. He wants the deed to the land the Towers is on in exchange for them. (Billy had been left the deed by a sweet old lady who lost her home in the 5th street fire. Roger had stolen the deed from her before she died. After Roger took those pics of Reva, she saw him hide them, and took an envelope from the hiding place. She didn't realize she'd taken the deed and not the pictures.)  Anyway, Billy and Vanessa trick Roger into burning the pictures, claim the deed and at the Towers opening reveal that Billy owns the land and therefore the Towers. That's what led to Roger and Alex's breakup and Roger and Mindy's affair.
    • All the time they spent trying to make viewers feel sorry for Chad only for him to not even last that long. I wonder if they knew Richard Burgi was going so quickly. You're right about Josie replacing Cheryl. On paper, this should have made sense, given all the ties Josie had to the canvas, but I did prefer Cheryl. There was something very synthetic about Alexandra Wilson.  I suppose even if she did have some fans they were just so used to getting rid of people left and right, so she was more collateral damage. As you said above I do wonder what the plans were for Peggy Lazarus. I think AWHP mentioned her once telling Peter that Peggy Lazarus wasn't her real name. Maybe she would have been another Carl moll... Rebecca Hollen never did get her due in her soap roles.
    • So true...Hackney might have had a story on FC with Richard being an old lover of his, but reveals herself to be a Cartel member and blackmails Richard with something into doing her dirty work  LOL. But of course Richard had his hands full with the double trouble sisters Ms. Jones and Ms. Braxton that season.

    • Cat herself will be a stumbling block all her own as she vowed to Chad to stay away from him, thus redeeming her of her crime morally. Classic DAYS would have them gazing longingly at each other at Doug's Place or Blondie's, while Liz is serenading the room with a song aptly chosen to represent their feelings of emotional turmoil.
    • From what I just recently watched, they were setting her up to go into future stories. She was Emmy nomination worthy in the material I saw. If some viewers did not like her, the character could have been rehabilitated after that sick storyline. It feels like they destroyed a character for fun and then tossed her to the curb. Spencer had chemistry with everyone. I'm just retroactively angry on Spencer's behalf.  You're right about how Cheryl was often forgotten and pushed aside and I would take Cheryl over Josie. I think soaps need characters like Cheryl. Characters like Josie are way too common. Josie always got on my nerves.
    • CBS was back in third place in 1994/95. That was the season CBS lost NFL broadcasting rights which also cost them several established affiliates in major media markets. 1995 CBS was sold to Westinghouse and Les Moonves arrived. 1995/96 CBS was trying to be young and cool to compete with NBC and Fox, but it was an epic failure and CBS was once again in third place.
    • I tend to think that Chad will actually listen to Jen (this time). And that will be the next stumbling block in their relationship, which will open the possibilities for Cat to seek another member of their love triangle... To iterate my earlier thought, I am also not a fan of the person Melissa Reeves, but the character of Jennifer looks so chic this week, especially in comparison to Hope (and Gabi).  That blunt haircut is a winner.
    • I think Cheryl was essentially replaced by Josie, and it seems likely that Lemay wanted to bring the Frames back into the picture and for a variety of reasons that it would be McKinnons who would make way for them. Cheryl didn't really get many layers -- she was pretty and kind and sweet and faded into the background so that Scott could participate in the AIDS storyline with Dawn. Looking at the AWHP, other than (not very) shockingly being in love with her mother's adopted son Scott, Cheryl apparently went out with Sam and flirted with much-too-old-for-her John Hudson and MJ's ex-boyfriend/pimp Chad. I know MJ told Mary that she had been a prostitute, but did she tell Cheryl and did she tell anyone about Chad's pimping?
    • I feel the same way about Melissa Reeves' Jennifer. She just makes the show feel like home by her presence alone. I am perfectly okay with them coming in every once and awhile, which probably fits Reeves' schedule better anyway. Their connections to Salem are still there: JJ, the grandkids, Jack still owning half of The Spectator ... they're perfect recurring characters. All this talk of Jennifer being in the wrong regarding Cat is absurd. Jennifer is not being villainized in any way, shape, or form, she's just being allowed to actually be human, which adds odds to the obstacle of Chad and Cat eventually getting together. All inner conflict. Keep it coming!
    • Hahaha. Jean Hackney, Angelica Nero, and the Falcon Crest henchwomen were all straight out of a James Bond movie.
