I figure since the '24' storyline is basically over, I'll start a new thread for today's show.

Liz and Lucky are making me tear up - I've always loved those two together and have always been rooting for them. Jason needs to get out of the picture. Anyway these scenes are great today.

Everything Alan is great today too. The scene with Alan and Edward were awesome...

Sad day in Port Charles!

Hey alwaysAMC, I thought the same thing. I started a GH thread, I will have a Mod delete it.

Anyway Liz is getting on my nerves. I felt really bad of Lucky because he was pouring out his heart and yet she can't tell him the truth. Two weeks ago she was in love with Jason and jealous of Sam. Today she remembers that she loved him since she was 15 BEFORE Jason came into the picture. Today she was acting like the Liz of old ALMOST. If she would tell the truth, than everything will be ok.

Liz -> Stop being a Flip-Floper

Lucky is too good for that WAY TOO fertile skank! Once these PC bimbos sniff out the mob, they treat the rest of the world like trash.

Yes Lucky made a big error, but Jason is a killer, and Luza is going out of his way to make Jason look like the better man.

This is AJ Quartermaine all over again. Compromise the integrity of every character to shill Jason...

Don't get me wrong, Steve Burton has the best bod in daytime, but he's a lackluster actor and everyone loses around his character. That is just wrong. JASON'S A FREAKING KILLER!

Yes! Lucky finally let go of her. This is hte moment Ive been waiting for. You are probably thinking what the hell am I talking about. Well for the past few months, he's been pretty much apologizing and trying so hard to win her back and make things up. Lucky isnt the problem here. Liz is hte only reason why they arent together. She wass holding back and theres that saying you dont know what you have till its gone. Im glad that it forced her to realize what she has lost. Our LnL2 is back! She finally forgave him. Loved when she forgave him and said she wanted to get married! Liz is back. The REAL Liz! LOVED her today and loving my couple. They rock!

You know Im hard on her but its not bc I hate her, no its bc I love her. Its just been so hard watching her over the past couple months and she's been such a dissapointment and felt like a pod person. I did not recognize her at all, but I saw my favorite character come back and I felt like crying along with her when she saw the Lucky she loved since she was 15 just like for the first time in a long time I saw the Elizabeth I loved since I was 13. I was on the same wavelength as her and when she said she forgave Lucky I thought to myself, I forgive you too. All she needs to do now is tell him the truth and I can see she's scared bc she does not want him to reject her. I feel bad for her in that sense bc it will hurt him but she needs to have more faith. He loves her and isnt about to blow this 2nd chance with her over the secret.

Yes, once she tell's him the truth then she will be the Liz of Old. The scene was good, but I couldn't clap for it, knowing that she was not going to tell him the truth. Once SHE tells the truth, then I can root for her and Lucky or at least I can root for her. I believe that once Lucky gets over the hurt and shock he would be able to love Jason's baby just like he loves Cam.

I just got to watch this episode and it was a good one!

I loved all the Alan stuff. It was sad. :( And when Emily came in and we realize with the other characters that Alan died, I was really surprised! I mean, I knew that he'd die, but I just didn't know they were doing it sort of off screen. It was really sad and all the reactions of Tracy, Ed and Monica were great and heartbreaking. Actors really did a great job! And I was actually sad for Jason as well. He missed out saying goodbye to his father because he had to play gunmen with Craig...

But the highlight of this episode for me were Lucky and Liz! How I love them! I was totally shocked when he said he's letting her go! And then she showed up and told him all those things... I was sooooo happy! It was a wonderful scene! And while I'm anxious for her to tell him the truth, I don't think that will happen. I think Lucky will find out some other way and then he'll dump Liz again... :( But I'm not gonna think about that now... this was a happy L&L2 day, so I am gonna enjoy it.. :)

Nice eppy before going to bed... :D

    • All the time they spent trying to make viewers feel sorry for Chad only for him to not even last that long. I wonder if they knew Richard Burgi was going so quickly. You're right about Josie replacing Cheryl. On paper, this should have made sense, given all the ties Josie had to the canvas, but I did prefer Cheryl. There was something very synthetic about Alexandra Wilson.  I suppose even if she did have some fans they were just so used to getting rid of people left and right, so she was more collateral damage. As you said above I do wonder what the plans were for Peggy Lazarus. I think AWHP mentioned her once telling Peter that Peggy Lazarus wasn't her real name. Maybe she would have been another Carl moll... Rebecca Hollen never did get her due in her soap roles.
    • So true...Hackney might have had a story on FC with Richard being an old lover of his, but reveals herself to be a Cartel member and blackmails Richard with something into doing her dirty work  LOL. But of course Richard had his hands full with the double trouble sisters Ms. Jones and Ms. Braxton that season.

    • Cat herself will be a stumbling block all her own as she vowed to Chad to stay away from him, thus redeeming her of her crime morally. Classic DAYS would have them gazing longingly at each other at Doug's Place or Blondie's, while Liz is serenading the room with a song aptly chosen to represent their feelings of emotional turmoil.
    • From what I just recently watched, they were setting her up to go into future stories. She was Emmy nomination worthy in the material I saw. If some viewers did not like her, the character could have been rehabilitated after that sick storyline. It feels like they destroyed a character for fun and then tossed her to the curb. Spencer had chemistry with everyone. I'm just retroactively angry on Spencer's behalf.  You're right about how Cheryl was often forgotten and pushed aside and I would take Cheryl over Josie. I think soaps need characters like Cheryl. Characters like Josie are way too common. Josie always got on my nerves.
    • CBS was back in third place in 1994/95. That was the season CBS lost NFL broadcasting rights which also cost them several established affiliates in major media markets. 1995 CBS was sold to Westinghouse and Les Moonves arrived. 1995/96 CBS was trying to be young and cool to compete with NBC and Fox, but it was an epic failure and CBS was once again in third place.
    • I tend to think that Chad will actually listen to Jen (this time). And that will be the next stumbling block in their relationship, which will open the possibilities for Cat to seek another member of their love triangle... To iterate my earlier thought, I am also not a fan of the person Melissa Reeves, but the character of Jennifer looks so chic this week, especially in comparison to Hope (and Gabi).  That blunt haircut is a winner.
    • I think Cheryl was essentially replaced by Josie, and it seems likely that Lemay wanted to bring the Frames back into the picture and for a variety of reasons that it would be McKinnons who would make way for them. Cheryl didn't really get many layers -- she was pretty and kind and sweet and faded into the background so that Scott could participate in the AIDS storyline with Dawn. Looking at the AWHP, other than (not very) shockingly being in love with her mother's adopted son Scott, Cheryl apparently went out with Sam and flirted with much-too-old-for-her John Hudson and MJ's ex-boyfriend/pimp Chad. I know MJ told Mary that she had been a prostitute, but did she tell Cheryl and did she tell anyone about Chad's pimping?
    • I feel the same way about Melissa Reeves' Jennifer. She just makes the show feel like home by her presence alone. I am perfectly okay with them coming in every once and awhile, which probably fits Reeves' schedule better anyway. Their connections to Salem are still there: JJ, the grandkids, Jack still owning half of The Spectator ... they're perfect recurring characters. All this talk of Jennifer being in the wrong regarding Cat is absurd. Jennifer is not being villainized in any way, shape, or form, she's just being allowed to actually be human, which adds odds to the obstacle of Chad and Cat eventually getting together. All inner conflict. Keep it coming!
    • Hahaha. Jean Hackney, Angelica Nero, and the Falcon Crest henchwomen were all straight out of a James Bond movie.
    • My hunch is what you've described. JFP is likely back working on transitioning the show to a new studio and embracing new technology for its production model.
