February 19, 200718 yr Member You always hear and see pictures from DAYS and CBS parties. I saw pictures from Farah Fath and Judi Evans in SOD recently and Jason Cook even came back from it (he is supporting a beard) but come to think of it you don't see anything from any of the ABC goings. Frons probably wants them working at all times and can't take any time out to have a little fun. If they don't want anything done for them that is fine not everyone wants to make a big deal out of something but it sounds like ABC doesn't even give that choice.
February 19, 200718 yr Member That's just ridiculous. Anywhere you work, you should get a goodbye party. Even I got a going away party after working only 3 months at this place. Yet 20+ year vets can't even get a good-bye from their co-workers?? That's bull!!
February 19, 200718 yr Member I got a going away party when I left my job (a grocery store) after like 6 years!! I went to finish school and they had bought OSU balloons and orange and black ones...a cake...a card signed by everyone...and the bakery lady was like my favorite person and she knew that I watched soaps and about DAYS' face cakes so ut an edible face on the cake!!! LOL...I loved her!
February 19, 200718 yr Member WOW - ridiculous! This explains Julia Barr... I think the fallout from her not getting a party is the reason for the sudden ban.
February 19, 200718 yr Member Putting the best face on it, it may that enough exits are meant to be kept under wraps - and a goodbye party implies an exit. However, like Dawn, I suspect the fallout from Julia Barr not getting a goodbye party is the real reason. I think they realize many fans and cast are not happy under these conditions. It does seem unrealistically controlling.
February 19, 200718 yr Member It does seem unrealistically controlling. Exactly. It's not a budgetary concern, it's about Frons saying "because I said so" It should come as no surprise given his reputation for micromanaging.
February 19, 200718 yr Member ABC is like an assembly line when it comes to its product. CBS is like the large corporation that cares about its employees and gives great benefits NBC is like the family owned store and knows all its employees by name Edited February 19, 200718 yr by Drew
February 19, 200718 yr Member Exactly. It's not a budgetary concern, it's about Frons saying "because I said so" It should come as no surprise given his reputation for micromanaging. this sounds like this has gone on long before him though.
February 19, 200718 yr Member ABC is like an assembly line when it comes to its product. CBS is like the large corporation that cares about its employees and gives great benefits NBC is like the family owned store and knows all its employees by name Great way to sum it up.
February 19, 200718 yr Member This is just dumb and ridiculous, but I sadly am not surprised. Frons's totaltarian ways have been starting to ape Atlas Shrugged for a while now from what I've heard, I doubt's anything's gonna change. But this just tops it.
February 19, 200718 yr Member If every member here at SON is as appalled as I am, we could send one dollar to ABC for a fund to buy them a freakin cake!! I realize that Frons would then take the money and use it on a massage or something but that is besides the point. This is just absurd that a company would do this for a person who worked there for 30 years. FU FRONS!!!!
February 19, 200718 yr Member Frons's totaltarian ways have been starting to ape Atlas Shrugged for a while now from what I've heard, I doubt's anything's gonna change. But this just tops it. Wow! great comparison. If every member here at SON is as appalled as I am, we could send one dollar to ABC for a fund to buy them a freakin cake!! I realize that Frons would then take the money and use it on a massage or something .... I doubt he'd have to pay Kelly Monaco, Steve Burton, or Michael Easton any extra on top of their usual danger pay.
