We are supposed to have lots of changes coming to our cable lineup March 1st, and I have a feeling this is one of them. Scotty, I don't know if your cable offers it yet, but our cable started offering telephone service. I took out all that they offer on the Cable (except for like a music tier and the sports tier - I get enough of both without them), added the Internet and now phone. Getting rid of my other Internet bill and the phone bill, I ended up saving 70 dollars and I have all these stations now. Sometimes though there still isn't anything on I want to watch. But at least I have On Demand which offers at least 100 or more movies to watch anytime I want too and then I have my closet full of movies. Anyway just a thought. However they have been offering digital cable and high speed internet service for awhile now. We also have another local company here which offers digital cable/internet/phone services. I loved watching the original and the 80s Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Night Gallery, and Friday the 13th: The Series is the last great horror show ever put on TV. You have to pay extra for the package that it comes with on our cable too (which it is lumped in with HBO, Showtime and others). I was excited about having it esp. after I found out they were going to start Queer As Folk which I love. Well imagine my shock the first time I cut the channel on after we get it and find out that Queer As Folk is being edited. They bleep out every f-bomb and have cut out all nudity which the show had quite a bit. And all the movies are cut too. And they have damn commercials. I know that some are glad there is a gay channel but for me if I am going to pay extra for a channel - I don't want any cuts or any commercials. I hate to watch a movie with commercials in it. I quit watching AMC when they started putting commercials in their movies. I mean even Turner Classic Movies now doesn't bleep out the F-bomb why should Logo which is a premium channel. To me if someone wants to watch gay themed movies Here network is a better bet. On our cable company it just costs 6.99 a month extra. You can watch the movies or series any time you want too. They are just listed and you click on them. You can stop, rewind, fast forward, etc. and view them on your own schedule. And they are not cut either. You can choose from ones that are more tamed and just gay themed or you can choose from ones that are a little more risque - none are hardcore porn though. Here has two gay soap operas - one called Paradise Falls and another called Dante's Cove. Paradise Falls is on the quirky side kind of like Northern Exposure. Dante's Cove has a gothic feel to it with witchcraft and all. Both are good. We have had Here for 3 months now on a trial basis because they just added it.
