However, word has spread like wildfire all day today it's Melinda. We have seen frontrunners like Tamyra, LaToya, and Chris go down in this round so I am worried. The one thing that keeps me a little calmer is the fact that Nigel, one of the show's producers, does a interview usually before the results show and he hasn't commented yet. Usually, he will indicate there is a shocker coming tonight so people will watch and the ratings will be juiced up. He hasn't said anything yet. Last week, he said there were no surprises and he was right. I like Lakisha but I would take her going over Melinda. You've been doing this long enough to know just how long it takes per segment, or if things are running too long. JERK!!! And EVERY week he apologizes and says the same thing. We're ALL onto you!!! Meanwhile, does Ry remind ANYONE else of EJ on "Days of Our Lives?" Not James Scott, the actor, but EJ, the character? The way he dresses, how he looks nice but says some EVIL thing when you least expect it... etc etc? Because that finally hit me tonight. Ryan Seacrest IS EJ Wells!!!! Meanwhile, once again, Ryan, go to hell! Stop writing CHECKS yo ASS can't CASH. Be STRAIGHT UP with us about the time. Anyway, little piece of trivia: Chris Daughtry -- who now goes by simply "Daughtry" for some VERY lame reason -- actually is the singer of "Home," the song they use when the contestants are booted off! I was so shocked when I saw the music video on MTV last night, which had the big reveal. It's a good song. I hadn't realized he'd "made" it. Members PhoenixRising05 Posted May 10, 2007 Members Share Posted May 10, 2007 Well, this is the final 3 that was expected. I have been saying all season Lakisha would go before she should. I am shocked she went this far. Blake should've went but I think Lakisha going assures us of a Melinda/Jordin finale. All of her votes will go to Melinda and Jordin has her spot in the finale wrapped up. I had a feeling it wasn't a shocker. Nigel said nothing and Ryan talked early about this always being a shocking week and it seemed designed to steer us in the direction that this was a shock when it wasn't. I said yesterday "Staying Alive" had goodbye song written all over it. "It's alright, it's ok. I'm going to make it anyway" is a good goodbye lyric to me. I wonder what Lakisha went through yesterday. She did seem rather out of sorts but she came off better tonight. I think she knew she was out. She kept telling herself not to cry too. Sweet. The results show at this stage should be an hour. Yes, it's filler but it gives us a chance to see the group songs again and it gives the person going home a proper exit and not some rush job. I also like the judge banter in the beginning. Ryan seriously needs to stop apologizing though. We all know when the results are coming. I will be voting alot for Melinda and Jordin. They are the two most deserving. I used to like Blake but his act is old now. Oh, and JSF, they are this close. You can tell if people fake it. This crew doesn't. I find it refreshing they are this close. The singers have been close in every season but last. That is why I call last year the "year of the egos." No one in that group seemed close at all and there was no emotional reaction to anyone leaving. All season you felt a "cold atmosphere" and I hated it. Next week should be fun. Two of the deserving are there and I think Melinda realizes she needs to bring it now. Jordin brings it most of the time so bring on the final 3!! That song is constantly played on the radio and I have yet to see anyone not know that. Also, Daughtry is just his band's name. He still goes by his real name. It's ok though.
