Here is an interesting post in a Blog I read sometime. The post might have some stuff that I can't post here so I will just link to it.

http://thiscircusicallmylife.blogspot.com/...-elections.html

He basically is voting for Sanjaya for a joke. Read it - it is so funny.

ETA: On BTW I do not agree with all he says in there - I just found the other stuff funny about why he voted for him.

Top 3

Jordin - Dayum, the girl can sang!

Melinda - Perfection! What more can I say?

Haley - She has made leaps and bounds from a few weeks ago.

Mid Pack

Chris Richardson - Cute as hell to look at, but very boring song. Love him anyway

Sanjaya - The lost Jackson child actually did good. His voice sounds much more powerful doing rock.

LaKisha - Was okay, not her best performance, but she's still great

Blake - TimberLite did quite well. safe!

Phil - The Daughtry wannabee needed this to stay in the game, although I didn't care for it. Hope he goes, but probably not

Bottom 3

Stephanie - Played it safe, Haven't seen her break lose, great signer with the personality of a statue.

Gina - What happened dear? Too much manic panic hair dye fry your vocal chords. I was expecting something great.

Chris S - Cannot stand him, so I wasn't even paying attention.

I think Simon made it perfectly clear that Phil should go and I think he is correct. The remaining ten will be on the tour and he won't be a money-maker whereas the others will, even Sanjaya who will pack the house with teeny-boppers. Actually, I was a teeny-bopper tonight. I LOVED his performance tonight and felt the music LOL.

Melinda was perfection. I absolutely love her.

Disappointed in LaKisha's performance as it was to controlled and subdued and the LaKisha sounds was missing even though she looked gorgeous and had to have felt fabulous wearing over a million dollars in diamonds.....whew imagine it.

Loved the fun, sexy, playful Haley tonight.

Loved Blake to pieces. Did ya'll notice the raptured expressions of the audience when he was on? They looked totally in rapture and it was a bit scary to me. A charismatic person with that power is not to be taken lightly....imho.

Disappointed in Gina tonight.

I'm not fond of the sound of Chris R.'s voice, but he did very well.

I think Chris S. has the best of the male voices. He rocked for me tonight.

Disappointed in Stephanie, too.

Loved Jordin.

Obviously, I think Phil should be the low vote getter.

As I said in the ITZ thread, it seems to me the crying girl was a sick child or a Make A Wish child or something.

Anyway, enjoyed the theme tonight. Great songs.

Haley: Very good. I was worried that she was channeling Katherine McPhee too much but she was quite unique tonight. Playful, pretty, fun...liked her alot. She may come on like Vonzell did two years ago. Vonzell started off shaky and then hit a groove so I hope Haley does well. I like her vocals and her.

Chris R: Good. Much better. He was coming too close to Justin Timberlake and he deviated from him this week. I thought it was his best performance to date and it was great to hear his vocals and not see him jump around. Nice vibe.

Stephanie: Where others branched off, she stuck to copycatting. She needs to get away from her Beyonce-vibe. It's cutting too close. She did ok but nothing special and she lost her likeability factor weeks ago and can't seem to find it. She is vulnerable. She sung fine but...it was lacking and too generic.

Blake: Last week he gutted the song and changed it too much but this week he did it just right. He made it modern and his own without gutting the song. Excellent. Good vocals, nice dancing, he got his own vibe in...very good.

Lakisha: She is starting to fall a bit. I wonder if she peaked too soon. She has been steadily losing points with me. She always sings well but tonight just felt off. I think she should've chose the other song. I think Simon was right in that it was old-fashioned. I thought she looked nice but the whole package was wrong. I said a few weeks ago that Lakisha will be this year's shocking ouster and I hold to that. I really think she will get picked off for some reason like talented others have in the past. The fact that some are catching up to her might hurt her too.

Phil: Oy...all over the place. He was fake. He tried to create this rock vibe and, as Simon said, he doesn't have enough grit. He doesn't look right singing a song like that. He has a nice voice but this was all wrong in terms of presentation. He is in danger.

Jordin: Beautiful. I think this girl is going to the finale. She has the voice, the look...a rising star. She is so young and so poised...loved her. She picks the right songs and is so controlled. Excellent.

Sanjaya: Why is he still here? Teenyboppers have ears don't they? Whatever...America please send him home. There was a brief moment at the end of his song where he actually sung in tune but the rest was horrible. He reminds me too much of Michael Jackson at times and that isn't good either. He is just not ready for this and is all wrong. I hope America corrects it's mistake of late and sends him packing because he was hands down the worst.

Gina: A mess. I love her but she was all over the place. She was off-pitch, off tune...she screamed the last half of the song. I also feel the song was too extreme and a major turn off. I think she is in danger too but I think she may survive as she is different.

Chris S: Ok. Nothing special. Paula was right that he should've worked the crowd more. He walked through the audience and didn't even make eye contact or shake hands. Talk about cold. I am beginning to turn on him. He seems too standoffish for me. His vocal was ok. He was just ok for me.

Melinda: Brilliance. No more needs to be said.

My bottom 3 is Sanjaya, Phil, and either Stephanie or Gina.

My pick for going home would be Sanjaya but I won't believe it until I see it. I think Phil or Gina may go home.

I just checked Dial Idol and the AOL website polls and so far Phil is shining bright. Wow, I cannot believe that. Maybe Simon helped him along saying he would be in danger. He shot himself in the foot if he is loaded with Phil in the top 10. Gina and Stephanie are in trouble and if you can believe it, so are Chris R. and Chris S. Phil's got to go.

That little girl that bawled her eyes out will grow up in 5-10 years and be very embarrased when she sees out ridiculously obsessed she got with a gay Michael Jackson look-alike.

Anyway - I'm tired of Phil and Haley. Send either one home please.

Blake was my fav. tonight.

Awesome show last night, for the most part. Jordin, Melinda & Lakisha & the guys (except Chris Sligh) really brought it IMHO.

My top 5 (1) Jordin Sparks ----- she's done a lot better. If she keeps it up, she may very well be the IDOL.

(2) Melinda Doolittle and Lakisha ------------- almost a 3 way tie for the top. Love these 2. I kinda wish Melinda kept her hair longer.

(4) Blake Lewis ----- awesomely talented, he's "now", I can see him on the charts---Top 10, Love his making the old songs new again. His "Time of the Season" was better than the original, which I've always hated. But Blake made me like that song. It could be a hit for him.

(5) Chris Richardson ------ very good, good voice and performance, showing his voice. Never heard of "Don't Let the Sun Getcha Down", but it was good. He could also be on the radio now with that song.

Middle (6) Phil Stacey ---- didn't like him much until last week. THis and last week are his 2 best performances from him.

(7) Sanjaya Malakar ----- shockingly pretty good. Great performance and did pretty good with the Kinks "You Really Got Me". Like Randy said last night, I was in shock. Definitely does NOT deserve bottom 3 this week (and this is coming from a Sanjaya hater, lol).

(8) Stephanie Edwards ----- I've had her in my Top 3 at the begining, then Top 5, but she's dropping IMHO. I think it's nerves and picking the wrong songs. She's singing "too old" songs, songs that make her sound like she's in her 30's or 40's.

And my Bottom 3 are...........................

I sure hope that Dial Idol's correct this time! These 3 were definitely the worst.

I have Gina in 9th, I love Gina, but this week she was horrible, I agree with every thing Simon said. She was all over the place. Sung "Paint It Black" partially as a pop song, partially as rock, partially just a horrible mess. Hope she doesn't go home this week.

10) Chris Sligh----used to like him, but he's getting worse and worse. Sorta reminds me of Taylor Hicks & Ruben Studdard put together, but worse than either of them. I wouldn't care if he went home. If not this week, then next hopefully. I can't believe why anyone would think he was one of the best of last night. Do they need hearing aids? IMHO.

11) Haley Scarnato-----I sure hope this horribly untalented thing leaves the show. I cannot stand her. Thank God she didn't copy Kat McPhee last night. But she and Chris were by far the worst 2 this week. Her voice is so weak, you could hear the backup singers a lot more than her. Her outfit also looked like that of a street walker. Did she get it from DAYS's Willow Stark. LMFAO. Please let her or Chris be gone.

I have read on several boards that girl is a Make A Wish child or that she has some sort of illness. She had a Idol t-shirt on and was asked on stage at the end of the show. They never ask a fan to come out on stage unless there is something else going on so I am thinking that what I read was right.

    • That's on Kimmer. As someone posted above...she was offered roles in pilots but she would be part of an ensemble or supporting. She didn't want that so she came back to GL. I don't know what she thought would happen..someone offering her "Here's Kimmer!" or The "Zimmer Comedy Powerhouse Hour" variety show..but her housefrau fans did not have the same pull in HW as they did on the soaps. Forbes and Watros knew that you had to take small parts to get noticed ands start a career in primetime. I know she was in consideration for the wife in Evening Shade, but when you go up against Marilou Henner, the soap diva looses. I could see her frustrated in a role like that, where she has to be the understanding wife with a bit of sass, but she could have made it work, if it wasnt for her huge ego.  I think it would have been an issue haveing all the powerhouse comedy actors surrounding...(lets face it..Alice Ghostly woudl have wiped the floor with her...) but it would have been a good launching padd.
    • Oh good, so I don't have to wait too long haha. I'm glad she cares about seeing Bill graduate. I'm guessing I'm in for a bumpy ride between Bill and Matt, if he's going to be his caretaker? Who else could it be, maybe Josh?

    • Maeve makes a few sporadic appearances, but returns full-time the next spring/summer. She's back in time to see Bill and Michelle graduate, although she skulks around town and wasn't going to tell anyone she was alive. She comes back wearing this HUGE hat---which was a throwback to the old Vanesaa. lol.
    • Aww, yeah it's very heartbreaking and I mostly enjoyed the Nola/Vanessa scenes because they finally let their walls down and came together in a beautiful moment. So Nola was at the hospital already and bumped into Vanessa, who had MRI papers that fell out of her hand and Nola went down to pick them up and asked her what was going on. Later, Vanessa confided in her about her disease. Then, Nola told Zachary on the beach (he prodded her and already alluded to knowing something was going on with Van), and then Vanessa found out she told him and got a little upset. Now, however, Nola is strangely absent while everyone is mourning her death. I'm curious if Nola will actually tell people about her MRI results. I would assume so. Only Nola, Rick, Roger and Zachary know anything, although there is the MRI results letter from the mail that everyone has missed seeing at home. I'm sure it'll all come out at some point. But... I just saw the next episode and the opening already cut Vanessa out and added Dahlia and Zachary. I guess Maeve is gone for a long time

That will break my heart seeing the town continue to mourn her and assume she's dead. I can't wait to see her return though, and I have to imagine feelings will be torn between loving that she's alive and being very angry she did all of this. While I hate what Vanessa is doing, I'm happy to hear it's not totally against her character. I think you're right, had Henry still been around, she wouldn't put him through this. I'm still surprised she is with Bill, though. I get her feelings on Matt, because she wants him to move on, but still very heartbreaking. I'm glad this was Maeve's choice to have a break vs. being fired.    Interesting, so I'm curious to see who they eventually pair Phillip with. They're flirting with a Phillip/Annie pairing, but I'm not sure if they'll go that route with the Jeva drama, her growing pill addiction, and Rick's past with her.  Ugh, yeah I'm so sad to see Bridget do a total 180 in the last couple weeks. She has always been a strong character from what I've seen, but now she's just bending over backwards to get Hart to love her and it reeks of desperation. Yeah, sure, this new Hart is eye candy, but I'm already tired of seeing Hart/Dinah have sex all over Springfield and the Cayman Islands haha.
    • Yes.  I remember them together during the early summer of 1986.  They didn't share scenes again for 30 years until 2017 because Carrie wasn't on the show when Anna returned during Sydney's kidnapping.
    • I can see Kim being that way. Well, Kyle didn't have to say yes. LOL. The suicide attempt feels plot-driven. I don't know if even Long could've made it work. She'd spent so much time trying to make Reva and Kyle into a couple, it feels odd to just have them give up. Not to mention how odd it is to have Maeve agree to marry him. Re Charita---surely they could've at least tried  finding clips with who was still there. Maybe they wouldn't have been "big" moments, but surely she'd interacted with Ross, Vanessa, and Henry. Vanessa had dated Ed, FCOL. But Mo and Rick were there---surely they could've bothered to find some clips of her with them (and they did interact a fair amount) and used them. And with Ed they could've found some shot of her talking to him and just not cut to whoever was playing Ed in the clip. That to me is what feels lazy---they had more than a year to figure it out, and they went with a bunch of photos. If you were sort of centering it on Rick anyway---then find clips with them and use 'em.
    • I definitely think it's time to write off Nina for good. I think her killing Drew might actually be a good idea. She could completely lose it after losing both Sasha and Willow and she ends up murdering Drew and eventually she gets caught and sent away to prison for a long time.
