It seems that Lorenzo Lamas is indeed leaving B&B. A rep denied a firing and just said that “he’s still on contract” but one needs to keep in mind that his contract is up for renewal these days.

So it’s anyone’s guess that Hector will quietly vanish very soon - not that we’ve seen him since early December. I’m pretty much indifferent about it: Lorenzo Lamas was never bad, the writing was just never there for him. Liked him with Sydney Penny/Sammy and in the early Taylor-days but there just never happened anything. Buh-bye Hector! I guess no one expected him to last that long in the first place since his on-screen love interest AND daughter left the show a long time ago...

I'm truly surprised it's taken B&B this long to release him. He came on in, what, 2003? That's a long time in B&B years for a non-related Forrester.

Ah this sucks for me. I liked Hector until he turned into a psycho stalker of Taylor. Lorenzo and KKL could have smoked up the screen.

I really didn't think he ever fit in on B&B. I, too, am amazed that he lasted this long. When does a non-Forrester ever last the length of their contract on this show?
