ATWT- Emily/Craig Spoiler

I wanted to put this out there before I did my previews for this week. Apparently viewers will be led to believe that Craig is responsible for Daniel's kidnapping (and he very well could be).

Also I can confirm that Tom will indeed have a heart attack.

Thanks Ryan :) I am really looking forward to this storyline, I hope it is done well(though as I know from experience I will not get my hopes up to much).

Also I am sure it is to much to hope that my man James is behind the kidnapping of Daniel.

I also hope that Tom makes it out alive.

The worst thing about this story is that Emily couldn't give two shits about Daniel. She has been destorying her life for the sake of Paul with no regard for her son. Of course with this they'll retcon it and make her the loving mother/victim. *vomits*

I just hope they do Tom's heart attack right, although I wish they'd given him something else. Tom is not this old Grandpa, he and Margo still can bring it. Ugh, I'll take whatever I can get. Just give me Lisa, Margo, Bob, Kim and Nancy.

I hope he does too. Having James be the one to take Daniel would be a nice twist.

I think this is the storyline that is supposed to "redeem" Emily in the fans eyes. I just hope they don't have Emily have another psychotic break. The fact that Emily comes clean with Tom and Margo about Daniel being missing is the first step I believe. You know....her telling the truth for a change.

Thanks for posting Ryan. I think this whole thing with Tom having a heart attack is a plot device to further push Casey's storyline along longer. He isn't going to want to tell his parents now becuase of what happend to do his dad.

As for the Craig/Emily/Daniel stuff- I cant wait!! Looking forward to both things.

Poor Emily....just three months after her daughter died. And WOW poor Tom and Margo! Tom/Margo are gonna kill me.

I knew Craig would be a suspect, but I think that's a red herring.

While I would LOVE for it to be James? I bet it's something to do with Casey's gambling story.

I really think bringing James back at this point will number one bring life back into this storyline, and also number two bring life back into the show, I know alot of people think of James as nothing but a cartoon character, but I don't I view him as total evil, and is one character that never gets old to me.

As for this being the beginning of Emily being redeemed, I think it can be done, but it is going to take a whole lot of work for it to happen. Also I am totally with you Ryan I don't want to see Emily have another psychotic breakdown, I don't think I could stomach another one.

Casey's too into his own BS to care about his dad (what kind of kid steals from his parents?) Besides, his heart attack is not meant to further push Casey's SL. It's to create conflict between Emily/Margo and anti-Craig feelings if it's revealed that he took Danny boy.

I pretty much guessed this when I read the Tom information earlier today...

I can't stand Craig...well, not this Craig....Also, is this the only way to give Tom/Margo a storyline? Having yet again Craig being front and center in everything there is Oakdale? I will say, I would much rather watch Tom/Margo, than all the other mess that's going on in the show.

Using Em's child to try and redeem her isn't going to work for me. No matter who kidnaps him. And not making Craig the baddy (if that's the case) won't earn him some sympathy from me either. I don't mind Jeff Meek, but Craig is as obnoxious as he ever was. It was a mistake to bring him back without one ounce of true contrition for his past actions.

This sounds good.

But I have to put my two cents out that. I do not want James back. To me he is a cartoon character. He has been painted into so many corners, and his story is old. I just do not want him back in Oakdale.

I am tired of the returns anyway. I am ready for them to deal with who they have. The returns of Damian and Simon have put me off so much. Please don't brink back James.

I agree. I dont want to see James back. But all the who is going to outdo who storylines have run its course. I am tired of Paul, Meg, Emily, Dusty and Craig tying to get revenge against one another. These stories need to end.

Hopefully, Tom's story will be given justice but I highly doubt it with Jean P. at the pen.

ITA 110% w/ what you said. But basically this version of Craig is like James, and the writers are really on a losing streak here w/ bringing back old characters (Damian and then Simon), so they'd probably screw something up, knowing them.

And since it says that we're "led" to believe that Craig's the one who kidnapped Daniel, maybe he actually doesn't. You know, I wouldn't put it past Emily to pull a stupid stunt like having her own son kidnapped to get Craig thrown in prison. B/c this was the woman who thought that kidnapping Dusty and keeping him away from Jen would somehow get Paul to reunite w/ her.

There's no doubt that Emily doesn't give a [!@#$%^&*] about her son. She never has and probably never will. Where was there a storyline for Tom and Margo when Emily practically abandoned her son to go cheat on Hal w/ Paul? Oh, that's right! Tom and Margo were off in Siberia w/ the rest of the Hughes then. I thought that it would have been a fabulous idea to have a storyline where Margo had to deal w/ playing Mom to the son that her husband had w/ the woman he had an affair w/. But of course, it was all about Emily. Whenever she mentions the kid, he's w/ Susan (does he even see Bob or Lisa?). So yeah, I could totally see Emily using her son to get back in Paul's praises, or to go [!@#$%^&*] w/ Dusty.

    • 5-19   You know what? I actually didn't dislike it as much the second time around. But tbf, I didn't hate it the first time either. It's already been established so far that RC's breakdowns can be pretty hit or miss. And I would say his average so far on this show has been 50/50.   Outside of Jacob vs Silk Press Sheila, it was all B/C plots. However, I got the sense that there was plot movement...something for better or for worse, RC does know how to do. And even within those plots, I felt there were so good character development moments.   What really stood out for me was Doug and Vanessa's last scene. FINALLY, they stopped dancing around it. And we got more information on what their arrangement truly is in terms of their marriage. Given the building toward it through Vanessa's sexacapedes and Doug's gambling storyline, it felt earned. And lest we forget...he still didn't tell her about his addiction nor what's going on with Joey. Meanwhile, Dani is slowly getting clues from seeing Vanessa with Joey one episode to seeing Doug in the middle of the afternoon on this episode. I don't see it as them shoving her into a storyline unlike Carly on GH if an example is needed, but it wasn't exactly organic either. Then again, the Vanessa with Joey scene was organic. Not the gambling stuff.    I did like it though. It was a nice spotlight for the Dani/Pamela friendship. And I also liked the idea that was mentioned about a Pamela vs Vanessa feud. After all, regardless of what's written on the page, they both appear on screen to be close to Dani. And I find it relatable to see two friends have issues when they are close friends to the same person, but NOT to each other. And their scene with Diego was ripe with tension.   Just cuz...HEY, DIEGO, HEY!! lol.   I loved Jacob vs SilkPress. The web that girl stays weaving continues to be fascinating to watch. I know we have discussed at length about how long SilkPress can stay on the canvas. As soon as it's figured out what she's done with Laura and allegedly Eva/Kat, it's OVER. And such a soap find...it's fascinating to watch a crafty villainess worming her way around getting caught. Which is giving old school soap. I also love that in her worming her way out of the charges, no one is being dumbed down to keep her on the canvas. So this next turn in the story is great, refreshing, and probably should be studied by other soaps.   I enjoyed Dani and Andre. Again, it has had a build. And technically if we are going there, it's about to be three months. Usually three months is the perfect time to start having the 'what are we' conversation...whether someone is casually dating or just being a booty call. And that look Andre gave Dani when she said Bill's name...oooooo he's finally over her talking about him and showing a sign of possessiveness. It's also not lost on me that his reaction to her saying her reasons...was to leave. Big uh oh for them. Where will Dani/Andre go next?   Well...look who got comfortable enough in his role that he gave some good acting aka Tomas. I liked the scenes with Tomas and Kat on a second watch. But I don't think Kat's wrong with what she said. She's so busy and focused on Eva though, she's ignoring red signs with him I am afraid.   And speaking on comfortable...look at Derek trying to act. lol. Personally, I thought both actor and actress did good jobs. And again, it's had enough of a build, you knew it was coming. And I'm surprised to type it, but I was Team Derek for that argument. He was trying to make her feel better, and it just made things worse. And Ashley was being unsufferable. How was he to know about the curry? And of course, she runs right into Andre.    Decent cliffhanger though I'm a firm NO to Andre/Ashley versus me being open to it at the start of the show. Wow...how things have changed.
    • IMDB credited that episode to Bill Bell and Pat Falken Smith, too, so obviously way off!
    • Sonny and Carly look ridiculous with this child thats the same age as Michael’s children. Maurice literally looks like he’s babysitting a grandchild but instead she’s calling him daddy.
    • Several legends here. Like @DRW50 I grew up knowing Joe Don Baker first and best from Mitchell (and his other infamous MST3K appearance, the equally hilarious Season 10 episode Final Justice - there were funny rumors he wanted to beat up the MST gang after Mitchell, while others claimed he actually took it all in good fun). I only learned later what a great actor and personality he truly was in things like Cape Fear, The Living Daylights and the original, strange and mystical BBC miniseries Edge of Darkness, where he played a CIA operative laughing in the face of nuclear annihilation. There's nobody like him. Same goes for George Wendt. Norm speaks for himself, as does Cheers. He'll never be forgotten as long as there's still television.
    • I want SHELLE to be friends, like Belle is friends with Philip.  It will always be awkward, but they've known each other since high school (24 years ago).  And it has never worked out for them romantically. One assumes Shawn-D could've used a computer at home (or Black/Patch), to continue his investigation. So, why did he show up at the Pub after he lied to take PTO, and then lied directly to Jada's face about being sick?  Unless, of course, it was just a totally inorganic, nonsense device to run into Belle. When is Johnny's first day of work?  He got the offer, met about the offer, talked about the offer.  When's he actually going into the office?  And does he own a suit (other than the red devil one)? I liked that Chad had to rule out EJ for having Philip beaten because of what happened with Rex vis-à-vis Kate, that's a cool linkage, especially because I think everyone forgot to say goodbye to Rex. 2 Questions: Is it the next day, or do Sofia, lil'Rachel, and Ari share a birthday?  Also, I missed it, how old is Ari? Did everyone skip prom?  Because I thought Prom coincided with Sofia's birthday. And what was Javi's dream job in Florida?
    • I always had the impression that Blake turning out to be Christina was a storyline switcheroo after they decided to bring back Roger. She used to talk to someone on the phone and it sounded like it was a younger sibling. Maybe originally they were going to be Spaulding cousins, like Johnny was a Bauer cousin? I'm pretty sure in the Spaulding backstory Brandon had a brother.  LOL. Nola was established as the youngest, the name Chelsea doesn't fit in with the other Reardon sibling names, AND she had a very prominent Southern accent. Kassie would have been more believable as a Lewis or a Shayne. Plus, the character was boring as heck.
    • Is JM making the booty pop too? BtG has all the males shook.
    • Or the typical soap himbo.
    • 5-15   OMFG!!!! Dayyyyyummm Nick!!! I see the costume designer pinpointed that fitted outfit all the way down for me. WOOF!!! And Audra in the yellow dress. When she sashayed into Crimson Lights in that yellow looked hot AF, even I did a double take. ZS was giving. I kinda like Claire's, Nikki's and Victoria's outfits, but those ZS and JM fits were the standouts for me.   That said...for an episode where nothing really happened...I actually enjoyed it for the first time this week as a whole. I guess it has the slight hint of plot movement. Nikki and Victoria being worried that Claire didn't want to move in with Kyle. Kyle being a little toooooooooo flirty for my liking with Audra and fall of double entrendres with her AND Claire...signaling he is so about to do something stupid. And then there was Jack, Diane, and Kyle's pow-wow and figuring out that Victor was behind Audra's company. Then there was just Holden stalking Audra per usual.    Audra scheming is always going to be fun. And I do hope she best Kyle. Well at least without actually sleeping with him. I am wondering how Holden will factor into that whole triangle now. Wild card?
