Members PhoenixRising05
I agree. I hope she rejoins the Days staff. They could use her expertise and she would be an asset to Hogan's team. Y&R continues to fall apart. The ratings need to drop soon. I hate to wish that on any show nowadays but CBS needs to know that she has to go! Members Sylph
As much as I would like to say that she did fire those people and that would enhance my statement that she's a Nazi, don't forget that Toups said many of those people weren't fired - they left on their own. Members FrenchFan
And we can understand easily why they left. They are disgusted so am I !

Members Sweet_VeeVee24
I know that Latham has her husband on staff and has her 21 year old son on staff to write scripts for Y&R....Talk about butchering up the show even further.
Members NYC123
WHY Y&R WHY?! Fire LML!!!
Members Sylph
Wait. Now we all know it. The question is - did you know it beofre the credits rolled?
Administrator Toups Posted July 25, 2007 Author Administrator Share Posted July 25, 2007 Damn, I was hoping CBS.com wouldn't update their show credit until I was allowed to say something about Paula leaving. LOL Didn't know about Sara Bibel though. Can't say I'm surprised.
Members Chris B
Toups, if you know any more inside info, do share! Sylph, you have to go back to the comments of the people who've spoken about it. Joan Van Ark, William Devane and John Pleshette all made it clear that Latham/Lechowick don't like criticism of any kind. Thats why Pleshette was fired and JVA was run off the show--and she was the star! It's obvious that all of these older writers were challenging her or giving ideas to improve the show. The loss of producers Ed Scott and Kay Foster is because she wants total domination. She wants people to look at the show and say "This is Lynn Latham's show and she's the reason it's successful." There was no need to change everything including the music and hugely successful Casting Director who worked her way up from Receptionist!

Thats why Pleshette was fired and JVA was run off the show--and she was the star! I know about those comments, I was the one who told you about them back when Latham was hired. I was against her from the start. But you didn't listen. I am pretty mad at you because of the way you changed your attitude and so forth. And I got even more mad when I read your post two or three pages back. God knows, maybe she did fire them, and I thought she did fire all those people before, she certainly is a person impossible to work with, but when Toups said they left on their own, I was and wasn't surprised at the same time. Read again what I said: I said as much as I would like...
