Andy was Paul's assistant and best friend during the 80's. I believe he left because the character was tired of the detective antics. After a long absence he returned briefly to the show in 2002. I don't believe they ever explained his absence after he left the show the second time.

See I liked Andy and JT doesn't even compare in the least. I also loved the Jack/Diane/Andy triangle.

Yup I remember Andy...they hinted to a romance with Diane but in typical Jack Smith fashion he dropped a good storyline!

Oh, I had the hugest crush on Andy back in the day!! He, Paul and Danny all worked at this restaurant for a while and were friends. The story I remember most was his relationship with Faron, this amnesiac he married, but ended up leaving him when she found out she'd been married in her former life.

Andy and Paul were best buddies and THE Magnum PIs of GC in the 80s.

Andy's biggest storyline probably was the Farren-story. An amnesiac woman he fell in love with, prompting her real husband to show up. He was on from 1984-1987 and was previously linked to Diane and maybe even Jill (not sure about the last one).

He was okay as an actor. Not spectacular but pretty solid.

More connections:

Grand Rapids, President Ford's hometown, is also the hometown of Kim Zimmer (Reva, GL) and Shawn Christian (ex-Mike, ATWT; ex-Ross, OLTL).

David Icke, Tom Flocco, Sherman Skolnick & many others believe that Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon, Lyndon B. Johnson are/were satanists & users of mind-controlled slaves. :o
