I never thought that I could see anyone else playing Sheila. But if anyone can pull it off, it would be Michelle Staffard. I am going to give her a chance.

Kimberlin Brown can and will find work elsewhere. Work that is worthy of her talents. She has proven that she can play complex individuals OTHER than Sheila, specifically referring to Karen Harris' version of Brown's Rachel Locke on PORT CHARLES.

Exactly, she'll find work. Besides Kimberlin knew months ago that she wasn't coming back anyways.

Harris developed Rachel from the supersh***y Sheila-ripoff writing Scott Hamner was setting up and, instead, developed her into a [!@#$%^&*]y, arrogant psychiatrist with control issues. Rachel was such a complex individual on PC that when I saw Kimberlin, I didn't see "Sheila." Lots of people probably did, but I didn't.

And I'll admit: I always liked Sheila, but Rachel is by far my favorite KB role.

Brown is a terrific actress. She just needs a juicy role and good writing behind her.

I still think she could have played Blythe Hunter on WICKED WICKED GAMES.

I wish i had that amazing clip of Rachel facing off with Lucy about Livvie. Rachel gloats that Lucy has never been a mother and then says "If you were you'd just how DANGEROUS we can be!" The difference with Rachel though was that it was all words... god, she was a headcase. I loved her getting bombed at the party at the Q's (i think it was) and saying "You're not me, Alan! I'M me!"

Finally, the only time ive ever enjoyed Kelly Monaco was watching her opposite Kimberlin as mother and daughter. Nancy Lee Grahn unfortunatly pales in comparison, because Kimberlin and Kelly EXPLODED off each other!!! Loved all the insults and slaps and control issues there... such a pity they didnt take Livvie to GH so Kimberlin could eventually have made her way over to there as Rachel... maybe as Sonny's shrink?! (a la the Sopranos)

I love Sheila to pieces and would much prefer Kimberlin Brown returning to the role BUT if there is anyone who has the acting chops to pull off this dual role, it's Michelle Stafford.

I'd still love to have Tricia Dennison return to Y&R as the town nutjob, but maybe they're saving that for a rainy day :)

It was all words, but I really loved how she played mindgames with everyone around her. Even when everyone knew she was evil. Remember the patient she had that lost his wife in a car accident and he committed suicide because Rachel told him he would never get over the loss of his wife? Man, that was some great stuff, especially when Kevin called her on her ethics.

I loved her getting bombed at the party at the Q's (i think it was) and saying "You're not me, Alan! I'M me!"

That was at Amanda Barrington's party for the hospital(a last-ditch effort for both Lucy and Rachel to suck up to the board member before one of them was chosen for the seat). Chris drugged a drink meant for Courtney but it ended up going to Rachel.

And remember Rachel's then-boyfriend, Boardman, trying to get nookie from her, to which Rachel replied "You know, I'd have more fun with my breadmaker, at least when I turn it on the dough rises?" LOL. And then, one by one, she tells off everyone at the party, Karen(for being a spineless Chief Resident), Amanda(for being an old lady), Alan(who she said was(and I quote) "...nothing more than a big, overstuffed adulterous poobah."), Lucy(for being a flake), and Kevin(for his horrible taste in women).

God, is it bad that I can nearly quote that whole episode?! THAT is how you do a soap opera party!

I agree there. Brown and Monaco played off each other really well.

Damn the executives at ABC for not giving Harris a second year to work her magic on PORT CHARLES.
