Wouldn't you know, Katie manages to show up at Craig's deathbed today? LOL...but I swear, she's never even talked to Lucy before today.

And not having Babs told on-screen is ridiculous. Paul even managed to tell Will, and they've only had like two scenes since Jen's death.

I agree that there have been missed opportunities and I agree that she should use the history of the show more, but I must side with her on one thing. I think she's right not to treat Sweeps months different from other months. If a show saved all its best stuff for sweeps, then there'd no reason to watch the rest of the time, and it'd drag out stories unnecessarily just so they artificially climaxed during a sweeps month.

I agree, I don't think a show needs to hold off on ALL the good stories just to bring them in for sweeps (as GH does). That said, I think ATWT did itself a huge disservice by making this particular November so boring and lifeless; after the one-two-three punches of Jen's death, the slasher, the ice storm and then the Halloween ball, downshifting as it did this month to narrow the focus to 4-5 characters and then giving them all uninteresting and slow stories ruined all the momentum the show had built up over the last six months. It's like suddenly putting on the brakes after you've been pedalling a bike super-fast; I practically feel like I'm flying over the handlebars, it's such a rude shock.

I read this interview and I have to say that she has never said anything that made me think she deserved to be writing this show. The Passanante Rules are so far removed from the Marland Rules it ain't even funny. It's so sad that the criminals are now the only characters we have to root for. Both she and Goutman are WRONG about what they think this show should be about.
