I think more of Kelly's problem with Clay was with his behavior, but the hand over the mouth was just the icing on the cake. I didn't see that part except on the replays on all the show, but I watched the opening and he was taking digs at her left and right non stop and a lot of them didn't even come off like he was joking it came off like he was really trying to dig on her. I mean Regis kids with her but Clay was just nonstop there during the begining when I switched after the opening I was like he won't ever be cohosting again. That's how obvious something was going to come out of this before the hand incident even happened. There was just too much tension building up.

This whole thing is just ridiculous.

One, Kelly made it into a bigger deal than it was. Yes, she didn't know where his hands had been. But think about this... is it really THAT big of a deal? He simply put his hand over her mouth, jokingly. It's not like he forced her to open wide and took a whiz right down her throat or something. On commercial break, wipe your mouth off, tell Clay to keep his hands off, and let that be that! What's the huge deal? I'm surprised the twit doesn't wear a face mask to keep from breathing germified air. Is one human being putting their hand over another human being's mouth really news-worthy? For God's sakes, Kelly Ripa is an actress. A soap opera actress at that! How many times has she opened herself up to kissing a total stranger and swapping spit, putting herself at the terrible, terrible risk at catching a cold? Yeah, Clay should've left his hands off. But it's not THAT HUGE of a deal. It's not even the start of something newsworthy!

And what about Kelly's hair? What about that hair she's constantly running her fingers through and flipping around because it's sooo gorgeous and luxurious? Who's to say that she's not flipping lice around? I'm sure there's been at least one occasion when she was talking about her beautiful golden locks and took the opportunity to flip it around and wave it around luxuriously. Did her co-host or guests get in an uproar because she could've been spreading lice? No.

We're all humans. We all carry germs. No, we shouldn't go around wiping our hands off on each other's mouths every day, but the whole 'touch me not' thing is a crock. I don't think Kelly's really upset about the germs -- she's just upset that someone implied that she rambles on and on too much (and does she ever!) and caught her in a not-so-great mood when it struck the wrong chord. That's all.

As for Rosie O'Donnell, what a dumb lesbian. This has nothing at all to do with Clay's sexuality whatsoever. It OBVIOUSLY has to do with the fact that he's ugly as hell, and that's the fact. If it were Reichen, the SEXY reality TV homosexual, I bet Kelly Ripa would've been all smiles if he leaned right over and planted a joking kiss on her. I've seen that happen before on talk shows. SoapTalk, etc. I've even seen it happen on "Live! With Regis & Kelly." It's never made front page news before. And like I said, if it were Reichen, she wouldn't be crying, "GERMS! OMG, NO!" Why? Because Reichen's gay and cute. Clay's gay and ugly. It has nothing to do with homo/hetero... it's all about vanity. Get it right, Rosie! Your agenda is way too thick. And I'm a homo!

Meanwhile, Kelly? Shut your fat mouth, you hypocrite!

WHAT'S GOOD FOR THE GOOSE IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER, SUGAH! Is that not your germ-ridden hand covering Regis's sparkly-clean mouth? Moron.

Kelly and Rosie are both melodramatic hogs.

Stupid celebrities and their pity dramas.

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

OMG people hello, she and Regis know each other and are good friends. She doesn't know Clay, and he doesnt' know her, so he needs to keep his nasty hands away from people's mouths.

Her and Regis do things like that to each other.

It's not just the hand over the mouth, it was his whole attitude "like I'm better than you" during the show as well

EXACTLY.

And if you watch the entire show - Clay was being such a diva - telling him he's better than Kelly and made his fans cheer louder for him over the guests they had on the show. He was just being disrespectful throughtout the show to Kelly. He really does think his s.h.i.t. don't stink.

There are certain levels of familiarity that you are allowed to take with people you know well. Clay didn't know Kelly and didn't have that familiarity to put his hands on her in any way. I can understand why she was upset.

well posting a picture means nothing without knowing the context to which it pertains to

Exactly! If my brother or best friend had done that to me, I would have been more okay with it, but definetly not a stranger. Theres a thing called personal space and Clay overstepped it

    • I wish the Black male characters felt more fleshed out. I feel like we don’t have as much access to their interior worlds, which—fine—female genre. Right now, the balance on BTG feels off to me gender-wise, mostly because there are a lot of Dupree daughters (Chelsea, Naomi, Dani, Nicole, Kat, possibly Eva) and only one son (Martin). Feel free to disagree. I think Andre, Bill, and Martin feel closest to male “main characters” to me (Jacob had his quick moment), in that they can drive a scene from their POV and not as a supporting character. I’m waiting for the secrets to be fully revealed so that the men can show more layers. But things like having two cheating husbands stand out more in this type of environment.
    • I'll get back to you when Jordan appears on screen. Lol!
    • Don't feel bad: most do. I know it's in the "less than" category of opinions. And lunch? What's for lunch today?

Definitely am improvement overall, hah. I want someone to call him "bastard". Ha. Maybe I should sneak into Port Charles for a second.
    • A very underrated writer/director, IMO.  Of course, not all of his films were successful or memorable, but the ones that are - "Kramer," "Places in the Heart," "Nobody's Fool," etc. - are masterpieces.
    • I tend to ignore the fact you like Tanisha Harper.  She just blends in.  When she comes on screen I literally mind drift and think what I want for lunch. Melgar's Lily at least iconically blew up!!!  And once you know she's going to explode LM is tolerable in rewatch. It's coming!!  Half the young people in town call him "Uncle Sonny" or, well, "Dad" lol.  You know Emma's going to be on that bandwagon.
    • Jennifer Brooks had insisted that life go on since all her family knew that death might be eminent for her. Brock had given them a philosophy by which to live. "God grant me the serenity to accept that which I cannot change, the courage to change that which I am able and the wisdom to know the difference." Lorie asked her father to let her give a big party for the family and friends to celebrate her parents' thirtieth wedding an-niversary. He disapproved until Lorie said this was not a reminder of how little time there was, but a celebration of the life they had had together. Jennifer was pleased and looked forward to the party.  That evening, Stuart gave Jennifer her anniversary gift before the party rather than after. It was a diamond heart pendant to symbolize the heart he gave her long ago — his own. Lance and Lorie gave them a trip to Paris as a gift. Stuart had wanted to take Jennifer away, but she wouldn't leave the girls with their problems. The party was such a success that Jennifer told Stuart that this had been the most wonderful night of her life. Jennifer slipped away in Stuart's arms that night, clutching her pendant.  Stuart called Lorie who located all her sisters and asked them to meet at their parents'. He explained that their mother felt no pain and was happy as she passed peacefully away. Peggy felt she should have been home for her mother rather than visiting a friend, but Stuart said it was sudden. Lorie blamed herself for giving the party which was probably too much. Stuart told her how much that party meant to Jennifer. Brock came by to tell them that Jennifer had him draw up instructions for her burial and wanted only her family with her. He also had a letter for Stuart. She wrote him this love letter in case she didn't have the opportunity to tell him in person how much their life together had meant to her and this is why she wanted him to remarry.  Snapper visited his mother after he learned of Jennifer's death. He felt he hadn't seen enough of her recently.  After the funeral, Peggy told her sisters that she would not be going away to school. She was the only one left to care for their father because Chris and Lorie had husbands and Leslie had a career. Stuart insisted that Peggy finish packing and catch her plane to school as planned.  Chris was worried about her father after Snapper told her to keep an eye on him because grieving husbands could become ill as they didn't remember to eat. She called to insist that she was coming over to fix his dinner and found that Liz was there. Liz asked him for an extra key so that she could do the laundry and cleaning to repay him for earlier kindnesses.
    • I would assume "friends of Ripa" would come into play.

    • I'm aware of that but I was more curious about which characters were going to be included and what actors they were loooking at.
    • Harper > Melgar (yes, I said it) I happen to be in the lonely camp of actually liking Harper as Jordan, although I still believe Jordan, as a character, could easily be eliminated from the canvas, and I would be A-OK with it. Honestly, the character of Jordan went from interesting to expendable the moment she was taken out of the Jerome circle and made a law enforcement agent. I'm not age-shaming Finola Hughes either. It simply comes down to the characters at this point. To go from interacting with David Hayward and Edmund on AMC to Jason and Sonny on GH... is an actual choice. Hell, I'd even add Valentin to that list.

    • Much like I always say Tanisha Harper is very pretty, so was Lilly Melgar.  Very pretty lol. She wore very cute slip dresses that young carolineg adored lol.  She's probably not even a bad actress. Lily (the character) had 0 charisma and when you are working with 90's Mo and Vanessa, and, uh...Ricky Martin you need some spark.  People can have friends of all ages and I am not age shaming Anna or Finola, but Jason/Sonny are your daughter's friends.  My mother isn't friends with my friends or at least doesn't actively hang out with them lol. Yeah, I don't really care if Emma has scenes with Sonny.  I am just waiting for her to bust out the "Uncle Sonny" nickname.
