OMG! Wow! I am truly shocked!

I thought she might leave ON HER OWN and that Y&R would fight to KEEP her, but now we learn that Y&R FIRED her? :o

Wow...

This bit of news would fit in with some rumors that are circulating about ED reprising the role of Kristen or Susan Banks.

Interesting news. I must say Y&R has not given Ashely a storyline of her own in quite a while. Seems the Abbots are a dwindling crowd. Hope Smilin' Jack stays, he is fabulous!

It may say that she's coming back as Susan and she may at first. But you know with Eileen back and Susan back, and possibliy Stefano coming back, people are going to be wondering just where in the hell Kristen is. I SMELL ADVENTURE TO THE SUDAN FOR SUMMER 07!!!

Having started watching Days on Soapnet again after a LONG hiatus...I'll be the dissenting opinion. I hope Eileen Davidson stays away from Days.

Yes, she worked well under Reilly's reign and is a good actress...but ED's Kristen/Susan, et. al. were cartoons, which fit with Reilly's wacky style and the "out there" Days of that time.

But I don't think she would fit with a more "traditional" Days now.

Eh, I'm not worried about that. Look how cartoonish Bonnie was under Reilly. She had a talking dog for crying out loud. I'm not a Bonnie fan, but JEL has dialed her down big-time under Sheffer's direction.

Most of the characters were written as cartoonish at some (or most) times. An actor worth his or her salt should be able to change their tone according to what's in the script. Granted, Susan is pretty over-the-top, but it's in a good way. Plus, Davidson is just OUTSTANDING in the talent department.

And hopefully under Hogan's pen, she'll finally get that Emmy she was robbed out of in 98.

ED's acting was overrated in that story. Cynthia Watros consistently delivered performance after performance.

Cynthia Watros as Annie on the witness stand is the greatest acting performance EVER seen in the history of soap opera. That Emmy was SO hers.

Well, we're just going to have to agree to disagree becuase I'll never accept that Davidson didn't deserve that Emmy for those scenes.
