Yeah I caught that and wasn't surprised. I have heard rumors about her and I had a cousin that tried to get an autograph too and she kind of gav a cold look and moved on.

I hate that Idol alumni don't get the respect some of them should. Kelly and Carrie have been the most successful and have had huge impacts yet they still don't get the level of respect they deserve. Carrie deserved both awards she won and what I love about her is she is so nice and genuine. Watching her on Idol and afterwards, and also seeing her on tour, I know that she is very genuine. I was happy the other singers in the category were respectful. Faith should be ashamed of herself-she won it before be happy someone else won their first  .

I was very happy for Carrie and she looked so happy. I was surprised she was sitting next to and kissed Anthony Federov. I know there were rumors of romance bacj during AI4 but I thought that may have been done with?

I guess someone was on another site and slowed it down. When they show Faith the first time you can tell she's saying "I better f.**king win"

Doesn't surprise me...doesn't even faze me. Regardless of her attitude, I still like Faith Hill, and I still like her music. I'm not going to suddenly stop liking her because of what she did on camera for one evening.

I've never been a big Faith fan...my friend Cindy sings her songs much better.

I think country music as a whole is exclusive and while there are many singers out there, a lot don't reach the level of a real superstar because so many people stay in the business for tons of years and it really is a good ole' boys (and girls) club. When people do break through, like Carrie, Shania Twain, and the Dixie Chicks (pre-Bush), it's big news.

AI alums have to work even harder to prove they deserve the praise and the awards and the right to be in the music industry. It's a shame that they aren't getting respect even if they have awesome voices. Carrie and Kelly can outsing many of those country girls anyday. Country is a genre where you don't have to have a strong voice *coughKennyChesneyyourwinlastnightwasaJOKEcough* to become popular.

Out of all the country music that I listen to (and it's not much by a long shot), I like Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts. I don't listen to a great deal of the singers that have been out long ago.

I mainly watched to see if Keith was going to win or Carrie, and I'm glad each one did.

Faith Hill on 'angry' CMA reaction: Just joking

NEW YORK (AP) -- Faith Hill insists she's no Kanye West.

The country music superstar says she was just joking when cameras showed her screaming "WHAT?" in apparent anger when she lost the female vocalist of the year award to newcomer Carrie Underwood at the Country Music Association Awards ceremony Monday night in Nashville.

"The idea that I would act disrespectful towards a fellow musician is unimaginable to me," Hill said in a statement. "For this to become a focus of attention given the talent gathered is utterly ridiculous. Carrie is a talented and deserving Female Vocalist of The Year."

Media outlets and blogs zeroed in on Hill's reaction after Underwood's name was announced at the ceremony. While other nominees -- Sara Evans, Gretchen Wilson, Martina McBride -- gave the typical gracious loser smile, Hill, who was standing backstage, turned to the camera and shouted "WHAT?"

Although her voice could not be heard, it was clear from her lips what she said. She looked visibly upset and then it looked as if she was storming off.

However, Hill said it was all a joke, and her manager, Gary Borman, echoed that: "I've worked with Faith for many years now and the idea that she would ever insult or undermine another artist, let alone another human being's success is absolutely preposterous. Those who know her know that she's incapable of such actions," he said in a statement.

"She was being playful while the nominations were being read and playful after."

Underwood, the 2005 "American Idol" champ, has become a triple platinum success since releasing her debut album late last year. Hill is a longtime darling of country music with crossover pop appeal.

This is the second time in less than a week that an awards show loss has resulted in an (apparent) on-camera freakout by a loser. Last week, Kanye West stormed the stage at the MTV Europe Music Awards and interrupted the speech of the winners, claiming his video deserved the honor.

I totally agree. I thought Carrie deserved the win for her accomplishments for that year. The other nominees didn't have the year that Carrie did. I'm not a huge Carrie fan - I feel she is in a lot of ways a Faith Hill clone - but her music is fun and "Before He Cheats" is one of the best songs of the year.

Kenny Chesney.....I don't understand his popularity? His songs are all the same and he was off key 90% of the time last night.

I'm suprised at Faith, but there was always something about her that seemed put on. Like she wasn't the sweet down-home country girl she claimed to be.

I don't buy the joking. She clearly says "I better f**king win". Her PR people are just trying to save her from the scandel. And even if it was a joke it's pretty pathetic.

I could not have said it any better. Clearly, when Faith and her P.R. people saw what was abuzz on the net, they took steps to prevent any other Faith-lashing statements over the web.

I'm not buyin' it.

I smell Oprah hurrying up to put Faith on the show to give the viewers "her side" of what happened

I hope she does and oprah shows that clip on that mega-screen of hers. I love faith, and I just love divas in general.
