It's more realistic this way, though IMHO because in the real world (in dire circumstances) things like this could conceivably happen-- not the whole time warp, geographically lost island, smoke monsters, and teleporting or whatev but the dangerous human interactions. There was tons of action and tons of body count and I can't believe Alex was executed when the guy called Ben's bluff! So Alex/Penny were part of Charles/Ben's agreement that they couldn't kill each other's daughter. Damn that last scene with Ben/Charles was really good. So Ben can't kill Charles because the island won't let it happened? And island's "moved" since Charles is trying to find it again? Wow!!! I love this show! I was also shocked that they killed Alex, so for the people that wanted Danielle's backstory I guess it ain't happening. Loved that last scene with ben/charles. Poor penny and desmond, I have a feeling desmond will lead ben to penny and just as they see each other ben will kill her. I'm glad they answered the question to why sayid would work for ben, they both have common interest, so I bought it. Jin being in charge of the other group is not a good sign, so I guess he probably is dead especially with psycho rambo mercenary running around the island killing anything that moves. I think benard, his wife, sawyer, claire, locke and anyone not part of oceanic six minus ben and desmond are probably dead. Members KevC1980 Posted April 27, 2008 Members Share Posted April 27, 2008 Thursdays episode of Lost was quite possibly my all time favorite episode..I'm in awe of how brilliant the show has become..There were so many incredible moments..Ben's daughter being killed (which completely shocked me), Ben controlling the smoke monster, Sayid becoming an assassin, and the final scene with Ben and Charles with Ben declaring he will kill Penelope..This episode should totally be used for Michael Emerson's emmy real.. I want so much to just loathe Ben but there's so much in ME's performance that I just get sucked in. He's fantastic, and this show is freaking on fire! Thank god sun, jin, juliet, and sawyer kinda made it watchable. I hate kate and jack-centric episodes, they are so damn boring to me again why are they so-called stars of the show? I can tolerate kate sometimes when she's with sawyer but I can't stand her with jack and I just wish jack would die.
