Members DaysnPassionsFan
It was a great episode. Everything was great, except for Lyla/Jason. What the hell was that? And no, that wasn't Coach Taylor. I believe it was Tyra's father. I'm guessing we'll be seeing a lot more of Tyra and her family life next week. Members All My Shadows
Oh, okay. *whew* I definitely thought that was Coach, Tammi, and Julie, with the "daughter" mentioned being Julie. I'm glad they're doing this with Tyra, though. She's the only character whose home life hasn't been truly explored yet, so it's good. I really really like the pacing on this show. Members All My Shadows
Okay, I did some digging around. Looks like that's not Tyra's father, but her mother's boyfriend. Wonder what happened to Mr. Collette...
Members DaysnPassionsFan
Ah! That's even better! More possible backstory for Tyra who I believe is being totally wasted. Especially considering Adrianne Palicki is a much better actress than Minka Kelly.
Members All My Shadows
ITA. Minka is dull and stereotypical, I think. She's like any "hottie" that you can pull off of OTH or OC.
Members DaysnPassionsFan
She's very stiff. She's all right, but I think she's the weak link in an otherwise stellar cast. Everyone else, particularly Scott Porter, is able to carry her around.

Members Lucid
Thanks for the information Toups, the show was fantastic last night. Loved Coach and Tamis talk in her office, they are the best couple on TV right now.

Members RogerNewcomb
Best show on television. Best SOAP on television. Simply amazing show. The final 10 minutes last night I was on the edge of my seat, it was so intense. I love this show!
Administrator Toups Posted March 29, 2007 Author Administrator Share Posted March 29, 2007 Agreed! I really like Tyra and I'm so glad she fought back. I also kept on saying, where's Landry??? Hurry up Landry!! Then that last scene in restaurant....sooooo good. Loved the mud bowl!! What a great game. Glad Jason is back with the boys, back with football again. One of my favorite scenes from last week's episode was with the four boys drinking and playing football and when Jason was coaching Matt. This is such a great show. I know Kevin Reilly wants to renew it for next season, let's hope his bosses agree with him!
Members RogerNewcomb
Everyone I know who watches it loves it, but I've had a hard time convincing new people to check it out. I think there's an assumption it's all about football. It's so realistic. And the actors actually improvise some of their scenes. It's unlike any other show on TV. http://www.savefridaynightlights.com
