She co-hosted the day Susan was on.

They should pick Salwa from Buckwild.

I have a hard time envisioning Elizabeth finding a gig as successful as The View. Of course everyone guesses that she'll be a talking head on FOX news or something like that, but honestly, I think she's better off doing lighter fare, like hosting a show on the Style network (which I believe she did pre-View).
  4. She looks like that porn star in that Sarah Palin porn.

The show debuted when I was a junior/senior in high school, and then for college, I was on the seven year plan, so it's like, damn, a lot of years went by without me really noticing. I look at someone like Star or Elizabeth who became rich just doing one year of this show and think, "Wow, where could I be right now if I'd hustled and booked a gig like that?"

Meredith and Lisa will go down in my book as the two perfect princesses of this show. Those two never got on my nerves. Then again, neither did Debbie though I don't remember much about her. I had such love for Rosie and Whoopi, still do. But seeing them be "human" and not just on screen to entertain me taught me a very valuable lesson about celebrity, which I'm actually very grateful for. Imagine if someone like Beyonce was a host on this show and her kingdom of stans got to watch her day in and day out speaking her mind on controversial issues, sometimes putting her foot in her mouth or looking downright ignorant or even foolish from time to time. Makes me wonder how her entire public persona would change. I never stanned for any host of the freaking View, but the way I see Barbara, Rosie, and Whoopi was forever changed by this show.

Jeez, I can hardly believe that this show has been on for almost seventeen years. This is a shock to me. I didn't think she'd ever leave, regardless of her primetime gigs. I suspected Whoopi would leave first. I watched for the first time in a long while the other day and they had all of these clips of people welcoming Barbara back (including Susan Lucci and the cast of GH). Barbara came across a lot more likeable after her health scare. She said that Frank Langella gave her the chicken pox and I thought it was funny how they neglected to mention the rumors that they were dating a few years ago and that Whoopi had been in a ltr with him.
  9. I've read a couple of times in the past that it was for Blaize in the Old West story.
  10. Yes, the first Carlotta is in this clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Wgi5JzVdQY
  11. Emma looks like a wet mouse.
  12. The City was taped in Manhattan. No OLTL characters appeared on The City, but Alex appeared on OLTL.
  13. Great photo. I don't know why they did the copy in white though. Were these pics from a SOD sexy soap brunette spread?
  14. That picture is hilarious. R.I.P. Roya.
  15. I didn't know that JL did a soap before OLTL.

  17. Hmm, quite possibly. I never saw this episode, I hadn't remembered seeing Nexxus since the late '80s/very early '90s. This must be '94.
  18. LOL, Yick apeared in a TNG episode. Oh man, Stephanie, ha. I had forgotten about her. She was off the show at this point, but remember when her mom won the lottery and suddenly her annoying little brother had all this new [!@#$%^&*] and Yick was wondering where the hell it came from?
  19. I think I still have her appearance on his daytime talk show on tape somewhere. Shoutout to Stephanie Beacham, Joan's got sable cuffs.
  20. She palmed her face like a volley ball.
  21. Indeed, she and Nick were a great match. But I would love some Angie, "Lorraine!? Girrrl, just when I thought I was rid of your ass..."
  22. She'd still make for a great Jesse/Angie third wheel on Children.
  23. Richard was a good character, though I never bought him as Syddy and Nick's kid.
  24. It seems that they had the transgendered s/l planned all along because I remember reading the character breakdown in SOD before the show premiered, and they talked about her "mysterious past". I honestly don't remember anything exciting about the character. I do remember seeing the denouement episode with her and Bernardo and even that fell flat.
  25. You are so welcome! Admittedly, I've been a little self-conscious about these episodes I've posted because it never seems like much is going on. I've wondered if I just fell under the spell of this show's look and concept. My jaw drops looking at the utter size of those loft sets. I think they had a very nice ensemble of actors, but the show needed a jolt. One doesn't really feel the pulse of "the city" while watching. I recall a very early scene, maybe the first episode I caught actually, where I guess Nick had pulled open Sydney's blouse and they were in a close embrace, Morgan's ample bosom heaving in her bra. I thought that was so hot and exciting and the rest of the episode had a beat and a fire too it. But all too often, the show feels like a cold Manhattan morning, around 10am when I'm still sort of sleepy and cranky because the coffee hasn't kicked in yet.
