  1. Thanks for sharing! I watched Lana in some program about a year or so ago when they reopened the Natalie Wood case. She seems to think RJ knows more than he's admitted to knowing.
  2. I've always wondered why her hair line folded. Sales? Licensing agreement? Personal interest? Youthful E$$ence? She was still selling the products on her website in the late '90s, maybe early '00s. I was curious to try them but never did.
  3. I particularly liked the first Vivian.
  4. I'm pretty sure that IR left on her own accord. She had done Carlito's Way and most likely left to pursue her film career. IR was a great bougie bitch, she could have been Whitley Gilbert's cousin from up north. Although I think she would have been perfectly capable of playing unhinged, that almost seems beneath her version of Taylor. I think her replacement sold it well as I found her completely unlikeable, but I don't think that had anything to do with IR's departure.
  5. No offense to Miss Hayman, but I'm glad that this actress got the chance to play Minnie. She and Egypt and their relationship really stood out (at least to me as a kid while my mother watched), they were the kind of characters who deserved more recognition that just never was going to happen being on Loving.
  6. She's the first contract black role that I remember, though someone may be escaping my memory at the moment. Not until Angie and Frankie (and Pat) showed up do I remember more, i.e., Charles, Jacob, Lorraine, the model Frankie dated...
  7. Minnie was Egypt's older black lady pal.
  8. I remember her sort of low, sultry, speaking voice, like she had Baileys in her mouth. One of her early episodes was some sort of gala, I can't remember whose arm she was hanging on all night, but everything that came out of her mouth sounded very sensual. *Didn't she audition for some high profile role on GH or something? Or was that CT and Karen Wolek...
  9. I second that! Khan, write your own Bible and have a lawyer sumbit it to the writing team at PP AMC so you can get a shot as a writing intern or something. You know, work your way up. I'm not sure who the Project Runway guy is, but just from what you've described, I can totally picture this sweet kid of Belle's.
  10. Never saw that full Gaby clip (thanks!) but Erica mouthing "I love you all!" always cracks me up whenever I watch the All About Erica video.
  11. Where is Jill Larson living these days? Watching Dorothy Lyman as Opal in some of these Erica clips. How fun if she and Jill shared the role per arc in PP AMC 2.0. Dorothy has a farm in CT iirc. One of my earliest AMC memories, must have been around '83, was DL's Opal hurling dinner plates at Ray. Wish I could see that scene again. This was around the same time Langley had fantasies of murdering Phoebe. I guess Erica went on the run at one point and wore glasses and dressed down, the convent and all. This was after Silver left and as a kid I interpreted this as Erica grieving over Silver and now dressing as her.
  12. I'm watching 39/40 of Erica fest and I am so tickled by Erica with Jenny and Palmer. Can't wipe the smile off my face watching her.
  13. "It's not gonna be near the comics is it, or the horoscope, that's all Belle reads." If you ever doubted Susan's special brand of acting genius, look no further than how she delivered that line! People were saying "freaking" back then? I thought that was pure early '90s.
  14. All of those closeups, I just want to kiss Susan's nude lips. #beendrinking Bates and I had the same acting teacher. I of course am not an Academy Award winner. Mrs. Blye? This was before Judy Blye-Wilson was on the show, coincidence maybe? Erica is Belle's bitch. They should have made Belle Jane.
  15. I think the first time I ever saw her acting real silly was at the end of the AMC 25th anniversary special when she put on the wig and was impersonating Carol Burnett doing the Tarzan call, like Carol impersonated her during the show ("tonight the role of Erica will be played by Carol Burnett...")
  16. Yes, but again, that was Myrna's doing, before she even married Sam. When Baxter chose Clarissa over her, Myrna got revenge on her former bff by accusing Clarissa's father, Judge Judson, of being a commie sympathizer. This got him blacklisted, ruining his political career.
  17. I would have loved Barr and Canary shots too. What's with Nouri and the duck? Just a reflection of Caleb's rural hunter thing?
  18. I guess I never got why Sam had such an ax to grind with the McCandlesses. If I saw more of the first year I'd probably understand. I get why Myrna is all butthurt because Clarissa "stole" Baxter from her (which if I was Sam I'd be like, "Get over it woman, you're with me now"). I'm wondering if Judson and his politics foiled some moves Clegg Industries tried to make or something. It just seems that Sam's vitriol is way too strong to just be about his son vs. their son running for office.
  19. Colby is so cute in that pic, and that's a stunning portrait of Marian. I have to say, some of these people I never realized had blue eyes. Others have some of the prettiest brown eyes I've ever seen. Broken record, but I wish the show looked as pretty as these photos.
  20. What was her character like on Texas? Yeah, she does well on Capitol. She's stronger and brighter than Julie #1. There was something so honest and green about Leslie Graves and Karen seems a lot more "on" and actory in comparison. I guess she's okay but she can be a little grating which I don't think Brenda was ever supposed to be. She's supposed to be the poor litle !@#$%^&*] up who you sympathize with because her parents are tyrants and she doesn't have the best role models, kinda thing. I'd never seen Sam be so forceful with any of his children as he is in this clip. I have an old SOD article where a fan wrote in criticizing Capitol for defanging all of the Cleggs minus Myrna.
  21. That's Karen Kelly, the final Brenda. I have some later episodes of her when she's in the triangle with Wally and Dylan (the guy who maintains Myrna's fleet of automobiles). I realize the irony of this comment, but I think Cat looks pretty without makeup.
  22. Those pics are gorgeous. Everyone is lit, made up, and posed so nicely.
  23. Ah, thanks, and yes now that name sounds familiar. I may have seen him in one scene and that was it. Sort of like that Lily they had on for a second before unLeven bread Ramsey came aboard.
  24. Didn't they recast Timmy for a second in the early '00s or am I making that up? My viewing was spotty around them, I can't remember if they actually did it or if there was just talk of doing it. Meanwhile, he could potentially be a good character to bring back, especially if Amanda is in 2.0. I really hate that Trevor is dead, and so crudely, I wish they'd reverse that.
