  1. LMAO at "Olive Garden" and New York "pouring one out" in the limo! You just know Dynasty was on EVERY Wednesday night in the Patterson household. Her mannerisms are pure soap.
  2. LOL, I liked her on Capitol, but in terms of playing a "bad girl", I preferred Tess to Lindsay. Bright Eyes, you were a Capitol fan?
  3. Jen. Fankly, I didn't care for any of them, and I never understood all the Lindsay love. I enjoyed CH much more as Tess on Loving/The City. I remember Will's first scene. He and another unbearable addition, Roseanne Delgado, flew into Llanview together.
  4. Ah, thanks. Wow, this interview is pre-Y&R. Just imagining the Hucci-Lubers in their little apartment in Queens and all that they'd end up having years later. Oh Susie, I want your life. I wonder how good she is at the piano.
  5. She was wise to stop tanninng for the sake of her skin, but she and Mark used to have such nice tans when I was little. This was also before she started dying her hair a lighter brown, so she really looked dark and ethnic. When I was a kid, I thought she was Jewish. My grandma begged to differ, reasoning that she was probably Catholic given her Italian ancestry.
  6. How sweet when asked about children she says, "a boy and a girl would be perfect." She got it. And btw, she went to Marymount, not Marymouth.
  7. She looks like a hot under-five from an episode of Sanford and Son. Who is Gloria Hoye?
  8. The always knew where to hit Leilene where it hurt, her kid! She was one of the prettiest girls of the franchise.
  9. Kate Collins as Mindy, whoa. She was young enough but seemed significantly older.
  10. Yeah, I had a feeling it didn't. Did the Cicely Tyson one air?
  11. I didn't see it, but I'm cracking up at just the thought of Saaphyri pretending to pass out.
  12. Did Ebbie air this year? Is it still a Lifetime tradition?
  13. Who created Krystal and Babe? I wonder if they were at all inspired by Opal and Jenny. AMC has a thing for "yokels". Babe definitely had Dixie-like qualities as well.
  14. I forget which article it was, but it mentioned that Susan and Helmut's Manhattan apartment was done in Art Deco. That portrait that got stabbed probably would have looked good in their apartment.
  15. For me, it's still All My Children, if in name only. I will undoubtedly check it out and continue to check in even if it's not really doing anything for me. I associate it to the last decade of the show where there were long gaps with storylines and new characters that didn't interest me. But it was still AMC, the home of Erica Kane, Adam Chandler, Brooke English, et cetera, a show I loved, so I continued to check in.
  16. I can see that. Lempicka's women are sort of like human versions of O'Keefe's flowers. Sexual, voluptuous, bold, strong. We're family friends with a lesbian couple and they have several Lempicka prints in their apartment.
  17. Carl, was that a subtle jab?
  18. While I love the idea of the Lempicka-esque portrait, Erica's visage isn't as flattering as it is in the second portrait.
  19. Some folks on the message boards called that house the bordelo. The rooms were painted in various bright colors (which was kinda "in" at the time). Actually, certain rooms and pieces of furniture reminded me of pictures from People photoshoots of SL's homes. I was not a big fan of that photo portrait of Erica in the iconic Crystal Ball gown that hung above the mantle. Jeremy's painting of her was much better. My favorite memory of that house is Erica recieving the 19 bouquets of pink roses. Speaking of the Crystal Ball gown which the first Erica Kane doll was dressed in, do you all remember that DirectTV commercial Susan did also wearing the gown? I have it saved on tape somewhere, it's cute.
  20. In any event, the remodel paled in comparison to the original.
  21. Really?? I'd love to see that scene. Erica was off the show for a noticeable amount of time before SL returned after Frances Heflin's death. I was in the 9th grade at the time so I didn't always catch the show, but I never saw a scene at the new Linden until that fateful day. Thanks for the info.
  22. Thanks for the clarifications. I always think of David playing the piano for Erica and associating him with that house.
  23. Kendall's brother Trey burned down the house Erica lived in after Linden. Linden got remodeled in '94. The new set (and SL's new nose and face) debuted in the episode where Erica comes back to town and finds that Mona (who had been housesitting) has passed away in her sleep in an upstairs bedroom. Erica lived in the revamped Linden throughout the Jonathan Kinder debaucle and such. She left Linden for good when she reunited with Dimitri and retuned to Wildwind. In her last scene there, she turns around and smiles and says, "Bye bye Linden!" She later moves into a house that David Hayward buys her, a house that she walked by and admired each day after school, dreaming of owning a house just like it someday (AW fans have shared that Rachel had the exact same plot point in the '70s). That's the house that Trey burned down. She then moved into a penthouse, later moving into a house with Jack, then into a hotel suite, and ultimately, into a new penthouse.
  24. It's probably my all time favorite soap set. So perfect for Erica. Plus, modern/contemporary architecture and furniture is my favorite anyway. Though if I lived there, Linden would still be in the gray and black theme like when Alex Hunter owned it.
  25. I knew I remembered a pre-wedding exterior shot of Linden, I just remembered it from the wrong episode:
