Linda Dano has pretty eyes. Did you see the way she was palming that Emmy? Thank you SO much for sharing Natalie's funeral. I have been wanting to see it since I missed it the day it aired.

From what very little I've seen, and I've seen enough, Beyonce stans are the WORST. Wendy is not lying. I'm always amazed how candid she is when it's very likely that she'll run into Beyonce at some point in the future. I'm not that bold. It's like when you talk [!@#$%^&*] about somebody among friends and there's just this unspoken understanding that it won't go beyond you all. Yet Wendy does it on national television with no shame. And TMZ is wrong, she did not even try to backtrack. Cheap, did you watch the Soul Train awards? I sat here looking at Fantasia wondering if you were watching, lol. I think she looks the best I've seen her look in a long time.

I'll link it tomorrow, I'm tired, I'm going to bed, but Myrna and Paula's first scenes (dubbed in Italian) have been uploaded to YT. Myrna (Marj Dusay) is pretty much goading Paula to snap out of her agoraphobia and to get with the program as Mark is now ready to move on with Clarissa. It's later established that Myrna and Paula were childhood friends, just like Myrna and Clarissa. Given her mental instability, Paula pulls some wicked stuff on Myrna and Clarissa that trumps anything Myrna ever tried to get over on Clarissa.

I can't seem to watch this show regularly, but I did catch some of tonight's episode, and one of my FB friends posted that it was one of the best in a while. I liked the stuff with Whoopi, one of her better guest appearances in recent times. I liked that song Lea Michele sang for the showcase, I know it's famous but I'm blanking. Kate got her mom's cute butt. She's aging a bit. I'm sure she gets much more sun than I do having lived in Southern CA all her life, but it looks like smoking has played a role in it too. She's even starting to sound more and more like Goldie. I thought it was cool that she did All That Jazz because Goldie was supposed to be in the Chicago movie (I think with Cher? EricMontreal?) back in the '80s. Of course, it didn't end up getting made until years later.

Cool! Fifteen is also on iTunes, I've been meaning to get that too.

I don't think Linda Dano would have been too keen on playing Genie Francis' mother.

It's an interesting dynamic. There are fewer roles for black women than for white women in both daytime and primetime, yet primetime offers more opportunities for recurring roles and guest spots. When looking to cast a black female, there is a smaller, more focused pool of black actresses that will probably get seen.

Clicking around on YouTube, I ended up watching a little bit of Knots the other night. I don't know why I was so taken by this scene, maybe because I haven't seen stuff like it on soaps in a long time, but... when Karen is on the phone with the cab company trying to trace Val's (or fugue state Verna's) steps and she starts feeling pain and paralysis in the hand that she writes with... I thought that was beautifully done. It was such a great way to move two stories at once. Here we are intrigued, getting more details on how Val made her move, while simultaneously seeing the devastating effects of Karen's bullet fragment just as the doctor had warned her. I dunno. I thought it was great.

LOL, well, The View appearances were in fact a part of Linda's contract. Angela Shapiro gave her the moon. And that year on the Emmys, they did a skit where Rae crossed over to Y&R in a scene with Jack.

Carl, you just beat me to it. I looked through old PC synopses and I finally stumbled upon the whole Rae/Eve thing. Had totally forgotten about that. Also mentioned was Lucy's hunch that Alan and Rae were more than just friends which of course paved the way for Alan/Rae/Skye.

She was definitely on PC too, that was the whole hoopla of her coming to ABC, so she could be on all four soaps. But I need to look up what she did on that show opposed to GH.

I really like this! And it sounds very soapy believable. It gives never seen Althea three dimensions, and I'm imagining her as this sort of Tudi Wiggins-type actress. Constance McCashin would have made for a good Althea had the character lived.

Exactly. And you can tell that the writers themselves just stopped caring and gave the hell up. It was all so convoluted and ultimately not worth making a "final" resolution because it would probably end up being undone, yet again. A total, "Eh, we'll get back to it."

IKR? I was thinking to myself that Rae may not come out looking so great in a number of possible situations here, but who cares? The whole fake Dr. Rae thing and such, the character doesn't need to be Linda Dano-lovable. But originally, I was thinking just borrowing the AW scenario altogether, i.e., Sylvie (Rae) gets pregnant by Mac (Adam), Mac (Adam) somehow forgets this fact, Emily (Althea) can't have children, they buy a baby who unbeknownst to them is the biological daughter of Mac (Adam). Years later, Sylvie (Rae) for whatever reasons keeps the secret that Iris (Skye) is in fact Mac's (Adam's).

I love Linda Dano, but here's where Rae and her soap hopping made a big messy mess. I would like her parentage resolved once and for all.

Wouldn't it be great if Stuart actually knocked up Rae but they were too drunk and Stuart was too deranged at the time to remember?

I'm glad that RC has had such longevity playing Skye on three soaps, but damn, just make her Adam's daughter again. They reversed it with Iris and Mac in one freaking line of dialogue when Carmen Duncan joined AW, they can do it with Skye too.

Can you imagine people losing their chit if Carlavatini had her mention her brother's suicide??

I think lingerie worn as regular apparel is a little tackée. Is that SL's own piece there, because I remember she had a whole line of lingerie that could also be worn out in public.
