  2. Wow, that's crazy, sounds like an interesting read. An anthology of soap bibles would be a nice idea for a collectors book.
  3. Yup, that's her, she looks almost exactly like that in the Cosby Show episode she did.
  4. Agnes Nixon created Erica in her bible for AMC. When AMC didn't get picked up and she started working on AW, she borrowed the Erica character from her AMC bible and renamed her Rachel for AW.
  5. Nice to finally see the scene from which that familiar Viki and Dorian pic came from:
  6. Dorian in the shades and bowtie.
  7. Thanks, his hair looks peroxide blond here. Towards the end of the clip, if I wasn't looking at the screen, I'd think that lawyer was Robin Strasser talking.
  8. LOL, well of COURSE an alternate fuel source would be under Llanfair of all places! Thanks, I thought Bo went to the Wall much later, didn't realize that.
  9. What brought OLTL to D.C. in '82? Bo visited the Wall in the '90s, I believe.
  10. I'm not sure that I ever knew Robert Gentry was on OLTL, playing Echo's brother, at that. I'd like to see some of that stuff someday. Did Echo ever mention Giles when she returned in OLTL's final years?
  11. Ugh, the Internet is so creepy. Now I'm getting ads for my nearest Benz dealership.
  12. I'm a car guy and I totally remember that, and in fact thought about it when they would later block out the MB emblem on Erica's black S-Class during the Jonathan Kinder s/l. Erica's driving a Jag XJ in the clip above, and they'd give her another one later in the '90s. I like the idea of itty-bitty Erica in a big ol' luxury sedan, though on the show she also mentioned having convertibles. In an interview years ago, Susan said her dream car is a black Ferrari.
  13. Pine Charles, that "Day with Dorothy Lyman" article is great, thanks for sharing it. I love her.
  14. Yeah, that's real, some sheared fur with a fox tuxedo (she looks so pretty in that scene, her eyes, her makeup). Witter and Tesreau also wore furs in the role. PN's Renee is wearing a ghastly cheap pieced coat in her first scene. I remember seeing PE's Renee in fur in holiday/outdoor scenes, but she was usually already inside at The Palace. The other well-heeled ladies of Llanview were always out and about making house calls during the winter months.
  15. Yeah, those huge fox coats were really big (no pun intended) in the '80s, swallowing the wearer whole. I like Dorian, Alex, and Blair in these foxes (1993): http://youtu.be/WkvL1pGo66w?t=2m30s
  16. The furs ended with JFP. She is anti-fur and ended the show's long-standing relationship with Christie Brothers who provided the show with furs for years. Viki, Dorian, Tina, Blair, Renee, and Alex were the last of the fur wearers in the '90s. Yes, that scene with Sloan in Dorian's penthouse, it was actually a garment rack of furs just chilling in the living room! Dorian came home that day in a cat lynx coat and Sloan scrambled. Viki got a good chuckle out of the story when Sloan later told her. The show was quite glamorous at the time, Dorian would never be dressed that greatly again. You mentioned Y&R, they were the first to get on the PC bandwagon with faux furs in the '90s for Kay, Nikki, Jill, Dina, et cetera.

  19. I thought they should have used flashbacks too, they must not have been able to clear them. Mama's wig looks like it's tryng to back up out the door.
  20. That's true, I don't think I ever saw Viki in a hat. I always loved it when they wore dueling minks (and Dorian's got on a hat here, too ):
  21. Indeed! She was super trim at this point. One of my favorite pics is of her, Adam, and Dorian (Elaine Princi) when Adam gave Dorian a scoop that had her on the cover of the Intruder.
  22. This video series is so great. Love Dorian's reaction to the newly decorated Llanfair library, she's practically assaulted. "But to pave real wood!"
  23. I loved the way Natalie looked around this time, so sleek and chic.
  24. Linc was a character I had only heard about from my mother ("Does Phoebe have any other kids?"), and I thought he was a she! The first time I saw him was when I got the 25th anniversary scrapbook, that pic of him and Amy.
  25. Whoever was behind that decision deserves a gold metal. Loving/The City may have had a longer life were that always the case. Was the actor who played Eddie Dorrance also Warren on GL?
