  1. That's an awesome portrait of Fiona. I wonder if a fan sent her that.
  2. That picture of Robin leaning over the boat railing is hot. Purposely suggestive, the way they're posed? #havingaSoapsudsmoment
  3. Phil's intro of Susan always gives me chills, and i get so tickled by the audience reactions, especially the "thuggish" dudes.
  4. The above clip must have been around the time he guested on Emerald Point. When I saw him in EP, I knew I knew who that guy was but being so tan and trim he was almost unrecognizable. It was the voice that clued me in.
  5. John Callahan was a good looking dude. Time sucks.
  6. Loving those Viki/Clint Love Story scenes from '79/'80. Robin looks stunning in that scene where she's in the long white pencil thin dress at Llanfair.

  8. Yeah, that confused me, perhaps she was going by a different name at the time or the magazine screwed up her name (?), but that's Frances Foster who played Alex's maid Vera ("Peanut!") on GL. She also played Gertie in the infamous Good Times episode about the neighbor who eats dog food. I think you're thinking of Novella Nelson who played Judge Fitzwater on OLTL in the mid-'90s. We don't all look alike Carl! I kid, I kid!
  9. Good for Kimmer! I saw an audition notice for her onscreen son Tom Pelphrey's theatre company last week. He's producing and directing a couple shows for their upcoming season.

I think she looks stunning @9:10, her tan skin against that peacock blue: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXfon8yr1cI&feature=relmfu

Funny to see this thread bumped as I've been rewatching the excellent Sable Colby Show and Sable VS Connie edits on YouTube off and on for the past two weeks. These two are wonderful together. Can we just take a moment to thank the soap gods for Stephanie Beacham's casting? After Faye Dunaway and Angie Dickinson passed on the role, they could have gone with any number of the "usual suspects" in Hollywood, but they decided to mine the "exotical" talent of the UK, Australia, and South Africa before deciding on Stephanie. According to an old TV Guide article I have, Sable proved to be the hardest role for them to cast. I just think about how robbed we would have been had she not won the role, she is simply brilliant and she certainly deserves the special billing she gets in season two. Ricardo gets the "special guest star" after her "and" but I guess I can accept that, Fantasy Island and all. @2:10, I love how she delivers this line all on one breath, turning on a dime mid sentence: "Jason Colby, rely on someone else's strength-that'll be the day-unless there's something you're not telling me Constance..." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQ2LmKxK58M
  12. How freaking gorgeous is Ellen Holly in that picture with Lillian Hayman?? She looks like Robin Strasser as Rachel.
  13. The timing was off, but I think he would have made Starr a lot more interesting too.
  14. Eli certainly had a young Todd vibe. An angry, HIV+ young leading man, that's some incredible storyline mileage right there.
  15. Yeah, that I can see because it's obviously studio filmed, probably with a hand model. But the piece SoapLine did was on the original Rosemary Prinz opening (which I didn't even know existed until that point... thanks O.J.!), so that kind of confuses the issue.
  16. More on Betty Sinclair: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0801577/ http://www.npg.org.uk/collections/search/person/mp61557/betty-sinclair
  17. LOL, and of *course* people also said it was Agnes.
  18. That is a little bizarre, I had no idea that the page was turned live on tape each day. It was quicker and easier to do it that way back then, no post-production editing or having to dissolve to a pre-taped sequence. This is of course the original original AMC opening, and I'm guessing the yellow book opening was when they started rolling tape/editing it in in post. When SoapLine used to air during O.J., they did a quick piece on the original opening, mentioning how the identity of the hand owner was a mystery. There's a big difference between "mystery" and "forgotten information". I'm sure Susan, Ray, or Mary remembered "that lady who used to turn the page" even if they couldn't recall her name.
  19. Absolutely! "House of Cards" will be airing on Netflix, it's really the next wave. I doubt AMC/OLTL will ever come back, but Netflix is in the same vein as what Prospect Park had in mind. New episodes would of course be awesome, but yes, I'd settle for classics too!

  21. Carl, is "Raising in the Sun" your typo or theirs? Thanks, I really enjoyed reading more about her.
  22. It must have been a Sensuelle photo/commercial shoot?
  23. A rerun from his DWTS days, but J.R. Martinez is on Dr. Drew's Life Changers today. Check your local listings, watching now.
