RIP: In Memoriam Thread
Oh, that touches me. I didn't know any of that real life stuff about Loretta Lynn choosing Sissy & assisting her. And it turned out so well, great movie about a great woman's early life. I had no inclination toward country music at all before that & it made a believer out of me. Still sad at this loss.

As The World Turns Discussion Thread
Well, since you don't seem to know it, I'll have to fill you in. You completely missed my point which was just to evoke an actress from ATWT to explain to anyone who didn't know Beverlee just what kind of conversational thrall we were in. I could've said Lisa/Eileen. I could have said Lucinda, etc. But I was not attempting an equivocation. NOT AT ALL. For the record I think Beverlee is a goddess & one of the most talented actresses who has ever lived and it is nothing short of a travesty that she did not win multiple Emmys much less not even one. And you left out Beverlee at GL as Alexandra where she gave Master Class performances 4 days a week. YouTube Alexandra humiliates Roger in front of the whole town at the country club. No one can do better. Now ATWT fans, I'm sorry again. And, Happy Birthday to Julie Andrews!

Totally strange! The brown didn't look right on her at all! And, she was being romanced at that time. And, as woman if we're going to be vain, and we are, when we're being courted is definitely a time when we are! I am stymied as to why she didn't get a blonde wig that looked just like her hair. Maybe it was a wig that Hair & Makeup had that she could have or something like that where one's frugality beats out one's vanity. The whole thing is just awful though. I told Scott he had no idea. Nothing is worse than your hair dye turning on you! ATWT fans, I apologize for going on off-topic. If you don't know Beverlee then just imagine we've been talking about Kim/Kathy Hays & maybe you can forgive us.

Now that would be a good function to add. I like this idea!

Did you see that I got your answer for you & posted it the other day? I am just betting that you did not. Okay, well, Scott said her hair dye gave her a bad reaction & she actually lost some hair to it, so while the hair grew back in, she wore a wig. He doesn't have any recollection of why she was wearing a brown wig instead of a blonde wig.

(Bolding mine.) That's exactly what I've been thinking. At first I didn't like the idea because I'm conflicted about how they don't address things like the pandemic within the fictional universe but then I thought, well, okay, what they're doing now IS actually addressing the 20xx's plague! We have all of these people who are fully vaxxed & fully boosted, including me, but so many of them have gotten Covid anyway! And it has gone on so long. I distinctly recall early March 2000 when we thought it had just begun & we were so sure it would only be about 8 weeks. Sheesh!

Thnx for the links! Found them all. That man was a total creep to Tina Sloan when CBS canceled GL! Network honchos fall neatly into two categories: Nice guys like Fred Silverman & creeps like Les Moonves. Tina Sloan: We believed we could save Guiding Light. We knew that if our 72-year-old-show went, everybody would go. [CBS President and CEO] Les Moonves and I had a talk, and he said, “I gave you an extra year or two.” Then he replaced us with a game show.

DAYS: Promo + Spoilers (Week of 10/17/2022)
The last good fight I saw was SO GOOD that I could hardly believe it, a Master Class in Stage Combat, on GH Esme versus Ava where both actresses & both doubles outdid themselves. I don't know what Tripp's motivation will be but I would love to see a well choreographed brawl! I wonder if Johnny's attraction to Ava strikes Tripp wrong for his mom?

Oh, no. What in the heck did he do this time? I hope there will come a time when they will name a theatre for her!

Changes coming to the SON Community
As to my opinion on the issue, I am okay with whatever is decided. But, personally I see the value of a "Like" button just because of the reasons you've just stated. And, I never even think of needing a "Dislike" button. So, I guess that means I don't see the need for one. If you're going to differ or disagree with a post I expect you should be ready to briefly say why. Just "dislike" is not enough information to make it worth it. My 8 cents, anyway.

The janitor could have been a colorful fellow like they used to have on ST ELSEWHERE. He'd be really disgusted with the clean-up. I wish Jada had a relationship with the Johnson family!

I think that Stacy is not up to playing Kristen but even more than that I think the writing has ruined the character. Kristen was never an uber-villain, never got away with everything, never was in everybody's business, never was manic, I could go on! I mean she was a Social Worker with a case load!

B&B October 2022 Discussion Thread
I'm not watching B&B right now but I have watched B&B in the past & I have an opinion about Brad & writing the same story over & over & that is, that it is by intent, and that it's not that he can't help it, instead that it is his plan, even his secret weapon, and that it is to make all of the narrative as simple & quick to grasp as is possible & that is because B&B's most important factor is its universality to so many countries. I'm sure that this is not new.

That was lovely! When called upon to say what I think is my Worst recast I say anyone who is not Robin Wright as Kelly Capwell!- Changes coming to the SON Community
Ya know the "Like" is so often iconically represented as the thumbs up emoji, which is way cool with me but I just read an article today about how we need to stop using thumbs up. It ragged on a few other emojis too. Basically the gist of it was that en masse some younger people have decided that the thumbs up is offensive. (That did not seem to be explained!) And, said youngers say that no one but old people use it anyway. 🌟 How about a glowing star? Anyway, it's an idea to mull over. 👌🏻<---another one, we're not supposed to use "OK".- DAYS: October 2022 Discussion Thread ⌛
Well, congratulations & many happy returns! he seems like such a nice guy, sweet man, etc. as well as talented actor, so how nice for them. I do a double take every time he comes up because I have it in my head that someone else nis named Lucas I love that Tom Pelphrey has announced that he & Kaley are having a daughter & she has announced it with a picture of him holding up a pee stick & she's had a B&W pic made showing her baby bump & this has all happened in 3 days! I'm excited for them that they're so excited!- Changes coming to the SON Community
This sounds terribly exciting! I can only think of one small thing that I'd like to see changed. If I had my druthers, I would have the default position for the search phrase be "everywhere" instead of "in this topic". Can't wait to see clever "under construction" signs or "Men in Trees" or "please bless our mess."- Guiding Light Discussion Thread
