  1. I remarked elsewhere that this week has seemed to me to be like a Sweeps month which January is NOT. But the activity level alone seems Sweeps-ish to me & yes, certain days seem like it's Friday & cliffhanger content, not some random Tuesday! Of course the very first moments of the first scene were horribly off-putting to me. I hate these strange camera angles, whether they're from downlow looking up or this one way up high in a corner looking down at Lucy. They do this so often that they are meaning to do it. I guess they think it looks edgy?
  2. IMDB.com does have (one of the) Scott Banning on DAYS '70-'71, 84 episodes. So hurray for your recall!
  3. That kind of mistake is a tip-off that it's AI, probably bad AI, as well.
  4. I completely understand but I just cannot miss SSH now.
  5. Also he was so prolific. His credits go on & on & on some more. Primetime but more daytime too. He had roles on AMC, OLTL, GH, ATWT, maybe more.
  6. He posted on his IG during the day, about it. So sorry he's having to go through this. Obviously true for so many people. Hate this. Worried.
  7. Robert Hogan was the absolute best!!! I wish they'd had him all along.
  8. I'm so fed up with Ron I could easily take a break, again, but, dam*it, I don't want to. I'm going to put up with this 1950s mentality poorly written schlock fest while I mentally slap Sofia's mom like crazy because I have no intention of being cheated out of even one minute of SSH. Now that I got that rant out of the way. What happened in the last 2 minutes of the show? It looked to me like Holly came in & found Doug3 passed out, cold on the floor. Is that what happened? I supposed it could be a trick.
  9. Well, obviously I couldn't possibly argue with that. More of a good thing, who doesn't want that?!! And, if that is what people were thinking about, concerning wasted, as in wasted potential future, sure, once again, I'm all in for that.
  10. This is going to be terrible. Ruining your post by being serious. At least I admitted it upfront. You bring up Guiding Light & I knee jerk reach for that quote. "There is a destiny that makes us brothers. None goes his way alone."
  11. Now, I love Denise Alexander. Loved her Susan Hunter Martin on DAYS. She was a primary lead in the first storyline I remember. Later, loved her as Lesley on GH. Now at AW I loved her Marissa/Mary & I am rather fond of Vince, but, it might have to do with which actor. Reginald, not a fan. I cannot do some detailed character analysis but unlike some of you I really liked her on AW. I didn't find her to be wasted. That's it. That's the post.
  12. If it's not Stefan Cassadine, then I have no further interest. A girl has to have standards.
  13. These are good points, well made, and I think I must agree.
  14. I just saw a panicked Jason Morgan. Heard panic in his voice & saw it on his face & in his eyes. I'm quite sure I've never seen Jason like that, before today. Carly, of course, is falling apart. With her eyes filled to the brim with tears. Lucas, was looking at the face of the EMT while she rattled off the patient info, ending in, intubated as a precaution, so Michael will not be able to speak, and then Lucas looked down, finally, only to be horrified that it was his nephew, Michael, And they say 3rd degree burns over 40% of his body. Nina called, Drew answered, gave Nina a hard time, she insisted he give the phone to Willow, who she told about Michael, in the hospital & strongly suggested Willow get Wiley & come home immediately.
  15. The juxtaposition of the 2 scenes showed more nerve than I've thought it was possible for a show to have. Also questionable judgment.
  16. Thanks for this. At least what you've just said actually makes some kind of real sense. My initial reaction was just shock. Obviously, this is not so bad.
  17. Kin says to tell you that the check is in the mail
  18. FWIW what I know about Joe Willmore, RIP, is that both at ATWT & at GL he was a good solid utility type EP. I'm unaware of any particular blunders or errors. There are 2 anecdotes. GL, at a meal at a restaurant with Pam Long & Kim Zimmer, their argument about what Reva would or would not do reached such a point that Joe excused himself, went outside & vomited into the curb. Presumably he went back inside & they were still arguing. ATWT, The show had just gotten back its #1 rating & he'd just gotten that news. He stopped production, called everyone together & gleefully announced the Nielsen numbers. A great cheer arose.
  19. So, for the moment I am unable to come up with the title of the soap Diana was so obsessed with in the movie. One source suggests "The Meditation Hour" but I am dubious.
  20. Now this person who is known for taking digs at me is referring to misinformation and we know that I made such a hideous error in reversing the order Jill did that stupid Hollywood Heights and the more substantial Y&R. Obviously an error of such huge proportions that soap opera history may need to stop today to be recalculated. Okay, I tried but it's just too funny.
  21. It's just a device, a way to get Chad offscreen for awhile. Think about the way they faked Holly's death with a fire a year or so ago. And, they get to do their thing with special effects. So far at least I think it's been interesting. The somersault was really something. What I want to know is how did Sidwell get a bomb into Sonny's place without getting caught.
  22. I totally love that you know this. And, of course, share the knowledge. Imagine. You're at the studio. You know you have only one more day of show in the can. You literally have no idea what you're going to be doing the next several weeks. Then the news comes out. A vote was taken. We're saved!
