  1. The mayor of Paris says that she plans to to sue Fox News. This is going to be hysterical. I want to see how Fox handles this after. Who will they hate more: the French or Muslims or Obama the French loving Muslim who didn't go to Paris?
  2. Cosby got another positive response at a California show with one protester out front. I'll be honest, I don't see the point in protesting his concerts. His fans are going to go anyway and are certainly within their rights to do so. Other people may go just for the curiosity and trainwreck factor so they can say they saw him live after his career had fallen apart. After all, there's a certain bit of pop culture history being made. (My mom still tells me the story of when she went to see Ray Charles the night before he got arrested for possession in Indianapolis. Her perspective is very different from the way it was portrayed in the movie "Ray.")
  3. Trolls keep web traffic up. Not just here but everywhere. Just look at the comment section of your local newspaper's website.
  4. I covered the possibility of some of these women lying weeks ago. The thing I find interesting about this particular case is that Cosby was able to refute it by showing that he wasn't in town at the time. Yet he hasn't done the same with any of the others.
  5. White people in Dallas are suing because they feel that gerrymandering has led to a situation where the interests of the minority - in this case that means them - aren't represented. http://blogs.dallasobserver.com/unfairpark/2015/01/dallas_being_sued_for_violating_the_voting_rights_of_white_people.php
  6. Wow. Apatow is really dragging him in that interview. It's interesting to think of comedians as a "community" that's being tarnished by this. He brings up an excellent point though. Cosby should be able to refute at least a few of these stories just by pointing to the calendar. As for Maher...sigh. It's amazing how he can make a decent point then just keep going straight into the a$$hole zone.
  7. Kevin Hart (of all people) seemed to do a good job of walking the tightrope between supporting Cosby and not being an !@#$%^&*] about it. http://www.theroot.com/blogs/the_grapevine/2015/01/kevin_hart_on_bill_cosby_my_prayers_and_my_wishes_go_out_to_all_of_the_women.html
  8. Oh yes. That idiocy was brought to you by another Ohio Republican: Bob Ney. Last I heard he'd moved into talk radio after his corrupt ass got out of jail.
  9. Child, don't get me started. If he'd gone the same people would've bitched about Obama going to France for a vacation. It's even worse when you consider that many of those critics couldn't talk enough trash about France as some kind of "socialist" hellhole.
  10. Shenaz Treasury (Rama/OLTL) is one of the correspondents for The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore. http://insidetv.ew.com/2015/01/09/nightly-show-larry-wilmore-panelists/
  11. I kind of envy those of you who are surprised by Cosby's ovation. I'm not. He's going to have a small but VERY devoted fan base from here on out. It's going to be filled with other rapists, MRAs, women who hate other women, women who hate themselves, people who named their first -born "Rudy", etc... but he's gonna have them and they are going to be crazily devoted. You can find people who love anything. That's why we have things like NAMBLA and Ben Carson.
  12. Meth is a helluva drug.
  13. He will always have his supporters just like there will always be people who think the moon landing was faked.
  14. I continue to hope that there will be someway to drag Bill Cosby into court. He'll probably never face criminal charges but a civil suit would still force him to be deposed under oath. Of course, when that happens Cosby's idiot defenders will say that the women are just looking for a payout. I just want him to have to go on record about how much of a lying, hypocritical slut he is.
  15. That's why I said the Cosby folks should avoid commenting. Any comment - positive or negative - just splashes his dirt on them.
  16. You win. I've been reading your comment for 15 minutes and I am incapable of coming up with an appropriate response.
  17. I suspect she will learn soon that she knows more than one of Cosby's victims. Somebody who worked with her on one of his shows is probably going to set her straight.
  18. I'm just tired of hearing about Cosby's grand all important LEGACY. As if that's somehow more important than reality. And enough about this concept that one person - one secret malevolent force - has somehow decided to target Cosby. The irony about conspiracy theories is that they are based on the idea that you can get a group of people to all agree to a set of ideas and actions then keep it to themselves. Can you imagine that in Hollywood of all places?! Are we supposed to believe that a culture that thrives on paparazzi pics of actors leaving Whole Foods without makeup that no member of this vast conspiracy has called a tabloid to say "Person X offered me money to lie about Bill Cosby?" Come on.
  19. It's sad to see Phylicia fall into the victim blaming when Debbie Allen was so much better fielding the question on the Today show. Debbie needs to give her sis a call and talk her down. KKP has handled it the best so far. I have no problem with people saying that their personal experience of Cosby makes this hard to believe. I don't expect people who've known the man for years to just throw out what they've seen. It's the attacking the victims that is so disgusting.
  20. I guess Phylicia Rashad is upset that her residual checks have dried up.
  21. Bob McDonnell got sentenced to two years. Less than I hoped for but more than I expected. I have to admit it's astonishing to see people online who think this is too severe a sentence. Especially since I've spent the last few months watching many of those same people say that it's okay for cops to kill people for misdemeanors. ("Don't break the law and you won't get killed.")
  22. The official Klan is pretty anemic but there are plenty of bootleg versions of the Klan out there and far from being underground, they've gotten much more visible since Obama's election. I was mildly surprised to see how many white supremacist groups there are in Ohio. There's even a branch of EURO. http://www.splcenter.org/get-informed/hate-map
  23. I'd like to see it too. I doubt Scalise will resign. The repubs just lost Grimm. As for Duke, I hope he outs them all. If there are Democrats in good with David Duke I'd just as soon get rid of them.
  24. What a spectacular narcissist he is. The level of duplicity and concealment in this guy's life boggles my mind. I hope someday someone can actually get the real Bill Cosby on record before he dies and takes all his secrets to the grave.
  25. For the same reason politicians of all stripes associate with people they don't like: because he thought it would be politically advantageous.
